Where is Kara Kopetsky?

I'm sure if there were "rumors" going around about where her body is, the police would probably take action. at least that's what they need to be doing. usually when just one person comes forward with information it seems to take them weeks to act on one small tip. hopefully your tips and information are right, and they can find her body so her family can be at peace.

In my personal opinion if the rumors could be true of her body being somwhere , the police should take the tips seriousally .If they don't as a parent I wouldn't give a damn about the police and go find out for myself .At this point as a parent I wouldn't give a shit about braking the law, I would go look for my child regardless on hands and feet , starving or dehydrated , I would get no sleep until I found the answers .. or found my child in any condition .. the law now does not take the right steps anymore . You have to do things on your own now .. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends. Reality needs to wake someone up in the situation and this girl needs to be looked for weaither it's a rumor or not what is the worst that could happen ? in a rumor about where she is buried or at?? you eaither find her blessings of being ok or you find your answers and let her rest in peace and not dwell on the pain of wondering what happened or where she is at?

I have been reading on this story all day long i just keep searching one web sites after another. It breaks my heart to read this story about Kara. I have read some of the dumbest things ever from people and some of the most wonderful things ever! I just want to know if someone is going to go over and look in the spot where the tip has come in. I mean should we get in the car and drive to the spot and get shovels and start digging since the police do not seem to believe the tips??? I want to see this case solved either her brought home safely or for her to be put to rest!!!

Yea that is really wiered the picture looks just like her and says she worked at Popyees also. I don't know if this is a sick joke, but I wish I had myspace because I would be asking this user some questions. Since this was a year later.

If the police thought Kara was a runaway she wouldn't have been profiled as one of the 15 horrific crimes.

Kara and Kelsey both disappeared. Both cases are sad. While I believe in respecting peoples opinions...posting rumors without fact is ignorant.

Any person can look at the side to side pictures of Kara, and said girl in New York, and know that they LOOK EXACTLY THE SAME. And it breaks my heart, that her family's so dim and disfunctional that they can't even see, this is their family member they've been looking for, for two and a half years.

Look at them, they look exactly alike. And as I said, the fact that the family isn't jumping all over this opportunity is seriously concerning, and reinforces my thoughts, that the douchebag step dad is probably the reason why she ran off, if she did, willingly.

Several stations keep reporting her eye color differently, but most have been saying hazel. Kara has hazel eyes.

someone claimed the girl its not Kara!!! CNN said that she is 18 thats about all they said they would not give out her name just yet.

They have found out that the girl in NYC is not Kara. When I looked at the photos I could tell it was not her, while they had similarities there was also differences in their facial features. As for the myspace page saying it was logged in about a year after her disappearance, it would be extremely easy to make a myspace page that looked identical to her old one. So it was probably not made by Kara, it was probably just made by someone to get a rise out of people, to make people think that Kara actually was the one to post it. I don't understand why someone would do something like that and play with the emotions of people who miss her and searching for her.

So dianne your awfully sure of your information, where did you get this from??? can you share with us what came of your contact with the family, theres people who come accross your post in their search for kara, a little bit more info would be nice, to just claimed shes dead under a slab of concrete is childish and very unhelpful to those who are really trying to find answers, elaborate or plz keep the horrible RUMOURS to yourself, i really hope you were more tactful in your phrasing if you did contact karas poor parents

This will be Kara's third christmas away from her family. The pain and anguish they must feel everyday must be awful. But to live with that pain everyday, with the added hurt that people assume your 'naughty' daughter just ran away. Or having rumours go round she's buried under a porch in her home town. It's really easy for everyone who is familiar with this case to be an arm-chair detective and assume you know someone because their face is in news. The point of the matter is don't assume you know Kara, don't assume you know what happen to her because almost three years since she walked out of school she hasn't been found. She was 17 when she went missing, people don't just disappear into thin air. Just keep Kara Kopetsky in your heart and prayer. I hope she is found soon. And she family can start to move on from this horrendous experience. And hopefully Kara can too. Keep Strong! xx
