Church of Christ I think. I love the fact they would not return the money. Money is the #1 thing these churches care about these days, and that church not giving him his money back, just proves it.

It's actually unlawful to give him his money back. Believe me we had enough info from the IRS and the FBI and the auditors that this could not be done. Besides the moral fact of giving money to God and then asking for it back. How does that work?

Unlawful to give it back? This is why Organized Religion revolts me. It is all about the almighty dollar. Everytime all the time. I think the dollar is more worshipped than Jesus. Truly pitiful that this church has used stolen money to their benefit.

It is unlawful for any non-profit organization to give back money to any donor. And by the way the money hasn't been used. You seem to have problems with more than just Mr. Edwards. I just wanted the truth to be known about the money and the church situation. We'll pray for you!!

I really don't think that a church would be able to return money as it would jepordize their 5013C tax status. If the authorities instruct that this money be returned, it most definitely would be, but there are so many victims, where would anyone begin to know who to return it to.

And thats says alot about you. Besides get a few folks jobs in Atlanta, what did Murphy do for Haralson county over 40-50 years? He did sell alot of his own land at the bypass, which made him lots of green. Wonder how that Interstate just happened to go through Murphy's land? Go figure. Sort of like that land his family sold to the county for a resevoir. Now come to find out that the corps of engineers say the property will not support one. So the county owns some high priced, useless dirt.

Back to Edwards, What is going on with everything now? There alot of land holding by this man. What will happen to those things and where is he? I mean in jail, under house arrest, waiting trial, what? I really don't know. Is someone like this held in a county facility or in a federal facility? I would think this would be a federal offense.

I undertand that he spent 5 days in jail after the arrest and was released on bond, under house arrest, awaiting trial. Lord only knows when that will be considering how long the investigation took before they ever arrested him. This is most definitely a federal offense. He's still living in the big house in Stone Bridge so I would guess that all the properties would remain until after the trial.

Edwards actually tried to purchase this property in the beginning. He made a LARGE down payment but then was never able to come up with the rest of the money, so the Murphys had a law suit pending against him. This all happened probably two years ago and I don't know if this was ever settled before Edwards was arrested.

Do you have a list of the charges? I mean other than fraud.
