Typical for Bremen PD. How many bank robberies and murders have ever been solved in Bremen? It is almost like Dan McCain, and Johnny Norton never left.
I heard they caught someone over the weekend??? Is this true...

I agree. Not only do most spouses have jobs these days, but most officers do off duty work. I mean, who would risk everything they have (maybe an occasional big city officer does it, but I doubt it happens here) just for
a few bucks.

Yes they caught 2 guys that has a history of burglary in the bremen area. They broke into Hurstons floor covering, Williams Body Shop and Bilbo's Bar-B-Q and that is when they caught the 2. But every time the two guys gets locked up a judge lets them go and then they are back at it again. So unles they actually have to do some time then they will continue to break into places.

I find it interesting that a "lawyer" seems to forget that people have the right to "bail". And to place the blame on the release of folks squarely on the shoulders of a judge is a bit ironic since most decisions reached to release someone on "bail/bond" is the result of the intervention of their "Lawyer" either private of provided by the system. I too would like to see some folks never released on bail or ever get out of jail, but the system is what it is. There are certain rights afforded to those charged. That is why I like to see street justice dealt out by the victims of a crime on their attackers when possible.

Bremen Cops did a good job. When the community and the cops work together, they are much more effective. Thanks BPD

You hit it right on the head with your statement. It takes community support for any law enforcement agency to be effective. I know of many crimes solved by what a citizen saw and was not afraid to reported it to me or another officer.

Seems like we're not even safe in the day time. I have a co-worker who had their car broken into at the Cracker Barrel in broad daylight while she and her daughter went inside to eat. She told me there was an RV with an elderly couple parked on one side of her, and an SUV parked on the other side when she went in. When she came out, they had both moved to another portion of the parking lot, and that's when she saw her truck had a broken window, her purse was stolen, and her cell phone had been snapped in two. When she called the police, an officer arrived and she told me his attitude was very laid back about it, like "it happens all the time, it's no big deal". It is a big deal when your credit cards and identity has been stolen. She told me the manager at Cracker Barrel told her they were going to have security cameras installed. I went there last weekend and didn't see one hint of security cameras.

Do not put it past them. I have arrested the "elderly" over the years for various thefts. It is using your logic that allows many to get away with stuff.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Gemini

Maybe it's pre-Christmas tension but people can turn nasty in the blink of an eye today. This is especially likely if they've got a lot on their plate or they think they're very important, and you may have to treat them with kid gloves if you want to avoid getting sucked into a bad-tempered war of words. Some gentle humor may help to rescue the situation before it descends into acrimony.
