I LOVE this book. It seems like a compliation of many landmarks. i wish I could contact Amy Mosier however because I am confused by her references to photos and drawings that appear in the center of the book but I do not know which one she refers to when she mentions one. I wish she had noted a page and photo or drawing that corresponded to what she meant. E.G. on page 159 she refers to a "green line in the picture". I don't know what picture.
Maybe I just do not get the key or something but I sure would like some help to make the photos and drawings more meaningful
I have hiked the Dutchman and Terrapin trails and will try to get to the coordinates. I am 71 so it may take awhile!!!
Thanks Amy for an excellent book!!!

I was actually with Amy when she took many of the photos.I know the exact location in what she claims to be the Lost Dutchman Mine. The only way to know for sure is to climb up and enter the shaft. I have actually tried this, but could not find a feasible route. The brush is very thick and infested with many, many snakes not to mention bobcats and javelina. I have not been in contact with her for about a year. I recently found out that the book did indeed get published,in fact, I have one of the manuscripts. Was also saddened to see I was not given a thank you or mentioned in the book at all. I have relocated to Flagstaff, but do want to return and make another try at entering the shaft. If you would be interested in tagging along just post another comment and I will get in contact with you. I may also know how to get in touch with Amy.
Take care and hope to hear from you. Vern |

I have tried unsuccessfully to get in touch with Amy by mail. I'd love to know how to reach her. If you need a partner to tag along I just may be your guy. I've made a trip to the Superstitions looking for the Lost Dutchman, every winter for the last four years. I'd be very interested to talk with you.

Vern, I have Amy's book also. I'm a stone maps decipherer & Treasure Hunter myself and have tried to get in touch with Amy Mosier with no luck. I know she has recently married and her last name changed. I would very much like to talk with her about her book and adventures in the Superstition Mountains and maybe get my Book signed by her. Please mail me if you can help. Billy billycrypto@aol.com |
