Jodi Arias Grilled in Cross-Examination
Jodi Arias remained calm and steady under cross-examination Thursday as the prosecutor attempted to show a pattern of jealousy and lies surrounding the death of her ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander.Read more

The syncopation of Martinez's cross made for a slightly unsteady collective dance-along, but overall, it was a welcomed reprieve from the droning elevator muzak of Arias' marathon soliloquy of non sequiturs and miscellaneous trivia. Martinez was able to hit some high notes, in spite of his disjointed rhythm, dispelling the most disturbing allegations (of pedophilia) that might have otherwise boosted claims that lead to the chain of events in Arias' self defense position.
More significantly, Arias' posture, expressions, attitude, evasiveness, and nearly fanatical analysis and criticism of semantics (a characteristic that she previously attributed to Alexander regarding sex) even with relatively inconsequential questions, revealed a combative persona, in stark contrast to the shrinking violet victim of last week.

It seems that Miss Arias showed her true self yesterday, I agree Mr.Martinez was all over the place and may have come out of the gate swinging to hard, but he made alot of very good points that all pointed to deceptions of Jodi's and to who she really is. I hope the jury sees the drastic difference in who she was yesterday compared to who she was Wed.

After claiming that all she could remember, from the homicide that she perpetrated, was that she shot Alexander in the head, where she never dials 911, then hightails it to see Burns. She then never subsequently contacts any of Alexander's friends or family to check in on him, either, even though she stated that she didn't know if she left him dead or alive. When being questioned about the veracity of her statements regarding sexual monogamy, and the apparent grinding on Burns, directly after shooting Alexander and disposing of the gun in the dessert, she justifies these actions by stating that she was "single", with a self-satisfied expression on her face. If it wasn't clear, during the course of the back and forth relationship, whether Alexander was still "courting" her (how 19th century!), as she has stated as justification for peering through his windows without his knowledge and consent, why did she experience this sudden epiphany? Because Alexander ceased to exist, by her own hands, and she knew it.
It's very telling that she never offered any testimony that would have been indicative of PTSD like: I was seeking comfort, I was confused, my brain was jumbled, or any other such comments, with appropriate body language and tears or trembling, reliving the frightening events of Alexander attacking her.
In retrospect, this questioning by Martinez was brilliant. Arias took it at face value, and she focused on combating the assertion of lies regarding whether or not she practiced monogamy, where in actuality, he was eliciting and drawing out her true character. After shooting someone in the head and stabbing them multiple times, Arias proved herself to be one cold fish, who moved on to a new man, as the other one was no longer in play.
She can't undo her testimony, she can't go back and cry. That statement is out there in the wind lingering and it is chilling.

This jury has seen exactly what they are dealing with here.
If they can't find Murder 1 already, they never will.
She really isn't worth keeping alive, IMO.
I bet her family is here to watch her go down in flames. All of them. Ya' know she has been like this all her whole life. The word play. The lying about everything and everyone. Bobbing and weaving away from facts. No one could "prove" her lies until now. Most shit didn't matter much until now.
How could Travis be so blind?
Could the sex have really been that important and consuming for him?
Maybe I am blind. IDK

Let her walk, she is a victim.

In her twisted mind, since he probably fought for his life and didn't just let her stab him without putting up a fight, this was self-defense. She has told so many lies and weren't there forgeries done by her as well? Some have postulated that her family is there not to support her but to enjoy seeing her grilled. I actually saw her personally say that she kicked a pet of hers so hard that the dog ran away. This was for getting into the trash and chewing up things which dogs are prone to do. She says the dog was never seen again. They better look for a dog carcass. She then states she wants to apologize to the dog. I saw this with my own eyes. You can not repair her brand of crazy.
Didn't Travis write in a text that she was the worst thing that had ever happened to him and that he thought she was a sociopath? She could be a sociopath or borderline or both. At any rate, she does not need to be released into society. I have read there is no way she will walk.

I saw the pictures in the shower. One minute he is alive and well. In another frame, he is crumpled on the shower floor. This leads me to believe she shot him and disabled him and then she was able to stab him in the neck, head, and back areas as well as slit his throat. I don't buy the self defense. If she had a gun, why did she only shoot once unless she was afraid of attracting attention or having someone call the police before she finished. If she had wanted police there to protect her, she would have been shooting and hoping someone would dial 911. She did not want to be interrupted while she finished what she was doing.
The oddest thing to me is that she put the camera in the washing machine instead of taking it with her and destroying it. She must have, in some way, have been proud of what she accomplished.
Travis Alexander had a bright future ahead of him. She is trying to destroy any positive memory anyone would have of him. She says she moved because she was afraid of his temper. She is the one who followed him around. He was the one with his tires slashed repeatedly. He was the one who thought she was a sociopath and told friends he wanted her to go away. Well, she is going away. I don't believe she will walk on this one. I wish she was half as smart as she thought she was. She miscalculated.

She admits she lied to everyone.
She also admits that Travis was incapacitated after she shot him and was crawling around when she stabbed him. Those who are feeling sorry for her, remember she was stabbing someone who was no longer a threat to her.
She could have left. She chose to finish the job...viciously and violently.
She must have already been thinking how she could pin it on someone else if it seemed like something a female couldn't or wouldn't do.

I hope the posters here will review this video if they haven't seen it already.
Is it just me or is she one of the most annoying and deceptive people on the planet? I would have totally lost my patience with her. I'm glad to know they have the equivalent of a shock collar on her so she can't go after anybody in court. It's around her waist. Should they not put one on her neck too, just for good measure?
I don't buy any of her self defense b.s. and neither did this examiner. She was stabbing him in the back, in the back of his head, etc. It appears this was after shooting him. She claims the gun just went off, but since she is a pathological liar, who believes that one?
The problem for her is that she has lied so often and to so many people that even if she does tell the truth, no one will believe her.
I don't know how she got to Samuels and LaViolette. I'm not sure what Samuels' credentials are, but I think LaViolette's credentials are extensive. Both appear to feel sorry for Jodi. Sorry if I sound cynical, but I worked around criminals and even murders. I know b.s. when I hear it/see it.
She willingly played those games with Mr. Alexander. He probably would have had a promising life/future if not for her. I think he knew he was playing in dangerous, shark-infested waters, but somehow he couldn't stop himself.
If only he had moved and left no forwarding address where she couldn't find him, he'd probably still be alive today.

I went back and watched the 48 Hours footage where she was saying there were intruders and that there was a leg on one of the pictures. Well, they must have been aliens because there is no evidence to support there was anyone else there. What they did find was her DNA mixed with Travis's DNA in the form of blood. Also, Det. Flores said this doesn't profile like a domestic violence case and he believe Jodi went there specifically with the intent of killing TA.
While watching 48 Hours, I got to see his friends that initially let him use them as a meeting point for Jodi. At some point, they were trying to persuade Travis to stop seeing Jodi. They just had a gut feeling that something was not right. They then realized that Jodi was supposed to be sleeping, but instead she was eavesdropping. She had such an evil look on her face that the friends banned her from their house and did not want her around their kids. Their suspicions were correct.
I have tried to watch some of the segments people have asked me to review. There is so much hemming and hawing around that it really is tedious. The same friend above did get to say that Jodi killed Travis in cold blood.
I don't see what going over e-mails, text messages, etc. has to do with anything. The only question remains is what caused her to go "ninja" and do all the damage she did to him in less than two minutes. Somewhere I read she was done in 96 seconds. I read initially they wanted to try for an insanity plea. Det. Flores said she is not insane, in his opinion. She was cold and calculating.

I noticed that she and the person sitting next to her looked similar. They both have dark hair about the same length which means Jodi cut hers since being incarcerated. Their outfits sometimes match. If she is writing, Jodi usually starts writing. Does Jodi actually need glasses or is she just trying to mimic the woman next to her? I have just watched bits and pieces. I don't even know or care to know everyone's names. The question of LaViolette went on and on and she went into excruciating detail the different types of abuse. I believe that Jodi willingly participated into the sexual games and it's not like she was 18. She had been around the block quite a few times. Jodi said in her 48 Hours interview that she considered her relationship with Travis to be a serious one.
She also claimed that she was on the road, called Travis and that he invited her to his home. His friends say that Jodi was way more into Travis than he was into her. Some said she was like a drug addiction he couldn't stop as long as she was around and that he was relieved when she moved away. He was hoping to close the chapter on his situation with Jodi.
