I feel sorry..for the people who speak poorly on LE. It was at one time, but I see improvement in the last few years. The city is growing and I predict in years to come the population will outburst. So you...either get used to it or get out of the area. I myself is from Laguna Niguel and I love it here.

however i never would advise a client to move to ELSINORE not even for my personal financial gain, ide rather lose the sale then put a family in that sh1# hole..
Wow. What a closed minded comment. I was born & raised in Huntington Beach and moved to Canyon Hills 2 years ago. It's been the best decision my wife and I have ever made. I was very reluctant to move here. Now I look at HB and it's disgusting. The people, the buildings, everything. Take your comments and get the hell out of my beautiful town.

As a matter of fact Lake Elsinore is one of the cleanest Lakes in Southern California so I'd think twice before piping off about something you have no idea about just because you have nothing better to do than to talk crap!

i dont live in Moreno Valley dork San Diego native currently living in Menifee..although not very proud of it. raised in since 1969 i have seen the deteriation of this area, lake elsinore use to be a quiet little oasis, now its filled with derylicts, thievs, and dirt bags AKA Mexicans. lets not overlkook the obvious folks.
lake perris is being drained and cleaned due to human waste , not limited to food, trash and dirty diapers thrown in the water by certain breeds of people, not just the lake is filth , so is the city, dont think anything about Elsinore is different, you live in scum bag ville. we in San Diego have been educated regarding this area for years and have watched its demize, California
use to be a beautiful place to live, that was until we let the narrow minded degenerates access our state. next time you take a drive look around you agregiously uneducated fool, you are defending what has been proven to be a sespool.

I live on the north side off of lake, it's a beautiful place. I moved from Bixby Knolls Long beach 2 years ago. There are as many Illegals here as anywhere else. I'm white and can say it was the white tweakers that destroyed this town. Once this place diversifies and cleans all the Rednecks out we will have an atractive community. The lake has been cleaned and is filled with Ultra violet treated recycled water. They've developed the beaches nicely, a beautiful lake!!! This DEPORT guy is a hater because he can't afford to live by any water wether the San Diego coast or lake Elsinore. Get a life and hopefully you stay out of Elsinore.

I have lived in Lake Elsinore for over 13 yrs and all I see is improvement. The #1 problem with our Lake is that it can't escape the past with all the rumors, jokes, and problems. The City is committed to improving the Lake and all the surrounding areas. There is a water improvement project in effect and many committed city people. It just takes time and we already see great changesin our lake and city. As for fumes, it sounds like a rumor to me. If the Lake was fuming it did not interfer with the record breaking numbers of boaters and skiirs that used the Lake this past summer and or the long lines to get in. The only thing that makes our lake toxic is the "rude ignorant people" that are clueless about Lake Elsinore.
I agree Julie, I have lived in Lake Elsinore since 1983. Wanna talk about "dive" I thought that at first too. I have seen a lot of thing change here but if you consider all that has been accomplished since the 80's...I mean, there have been a lot of positive changes. the main problem with the lake is that we had a very bad storm (Remember?) that lasted for over a month off and on, the sludge from the mountains and massive flood damage that was forced into the lake caused a lot of polution in the water, the lake was treated for an over abundance of algae, which ultimately caused and over abundance of oxygen in the water which caused some fish to simply die and raise to the top of the water. The FUMES are the porta potties at the lake itself, because we have so many people at the lake every day especially now during summer time.

Wow...This is not just in Lake Elsinore, this is happening for real!

LAKE ELSINORE ---- County officials are urging visitors to freshwater lakes to take precautions against a very rare infection caused by a water-borne amoeba in the wake of a Lake Elsinore child's death Saturday.
County Department of Public Health officials said the child, whom they did not identify, died Saturday of a brain infection caused by an amoeba called Naegleria fowleri, a parasite found in warm freshwater lakes.
The amoeba, which infects people by entering the body through the nose, is commonly found in warm freshwater lakes, hot springs and soil. It also is found in warm discharge from industrial power plants.
Riverside County public health officer Dr. Eric Frykman said county officials don't know where the Lake Elsinore child was infected by the amoeba, which could live in any freshwater lake in Southern California during a hot spell.
In the U.S., the amoeba has caused fatal infections in 15 southern states. From 1998 through 2007, there were 33 reported fatalities.
The Atlanta-based federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said there was a spike in
deaths caused by the amoeba last year due to a heat wave.
Some of the people who died were teenagers who had been water-skiing, said Arleen Porcell, a spokeswoman for the center.
"It's my understanding that pretty much everyone dies when they get it. It affects children and adults the same way," she said Tuesday.
Symptoms include headache, fever, nausea, vomiting and a stiff neck.
To reduce the risk of infection, Frykman said summertime visitors to freshwater lakes should hold their nose shut or use nose clips while taking part in water-related activities.
Also, the county is recommending against digging into or stirring up sediment in shallow, warm freshwater areas.
Frykman, who said it's the first reported case of a death caused by the amoeba in Riverside County, said testing is impractical because it is "ubiquitous" in freshwater lakes.
The risk, however is slim. Putting the risk of infection in context, Frykman said there are millions of visits to freshwater lakes each year and only a small number of reported cases.
"It's something that is a very low risk, three cases average per year," he said.
Porcell called the likelihood of contracting an infection from the amoeba as "very, very, very rare" and said there should be no cause for alarm in Southwest County.

You don'g have anything to worry about. I live in Lake Elsinore and I have never heard of fumes coming from the lake. I have a friend with a lake house. They have never had any problems. We go boating and swimming in the lake and have never had a problem.

Lake Elsinore has some of the cleanest air in Southern california, outside of the beach communities, Due to the constant updrafting by the lake.
