Sad, in a way that his live sentence was cut short but better for taxpayers that would have to support this scungie bum. At least now the family members won't have to worry about him ever getting out.

LMFAO

Yes, I have a history connected with Tellico and indeed have relatives who knew ol' Joe back in the day.

It is unbelievable that anyone would think this asshole was innocent to this very day.

A big crazy conspiracy story with no merit should be taken on face value.
Which of the 2 versions is more likely to be true?

Legend has it that they suspected him of being connected with about a dozen missing girls in the East TN and North Carolina region.

In fact, his bold behavior, such as driving through town with the dead girl sitting in the seat and burying her near his home under a car, is a sign he had already hit the careless stage of being a killer.
This means that odds are he was a serial killer that had killed many times before.

I have relatives who claim to have spoken to Joe when he was back in town in the early to mid 80s and ran around disguised as a woman.

Odds are that what is left of the Shepherd clan is also insane, case in point the supposed relative of his with the insane conspiracy story.

I never had the opportunity to meet joe but ive heard many stories.none of witch were gud.my mother had the opportunity to meet him n the late 70's.as a result of that i am here. Im not insane by any means. So dont hold his family at fault for what he has been accused of.

There are a few more who should go ahead and die since the STATE continues to grant appeals and spend money on them. Then, if they finally run out of options, the State won't have to spend money for the injections.I'm sorry;but I know some criminals on death row and they would kill again if the chance presented itself.

this is why justice is never swift. They let them stay in prison for yrs and let them appeal over & over & beg for pardon. Even in states like TX where they have death penalty.

If anyone wants the actual court evidence and testimonies against him in court, go to Find A Case and search Joe Shephard.

They have the death penalty here. Some inmates like Paul Reed and Steven Huguley find ways to get out of it.They get a sugar mama attorney or play crazy.Reed killed seven and Huguley killed three including his mother and hauled her body in the trunk of his car on a date with a girl she detested. Now, that bunch who killed the couple in Knoxvile have appealed and is seeking a new trial.
