I was there.this was a gross overspending on medical part.$23,000 to airlift the inmate,$13,000 for Halls Ambulance to drive him 300 yard to the hellie pad + the other medical cost. All for a busted eye socket. He was back at the prison by 10pm. Hardly a medical emercency. There goes all that tax payers money for a person who most likely molested sombody he knew.Im saying this inmate could have been treated there by the $25,000 a month Dr.s we have working there. This is the reason the state is broke. Not because the "Guards".WE didn't start going broke tell the goverments implimented there new inmate medical program.

Why the airlift? It doesn't sound like a life or death injury to me. Who ordered the helicoptor. That's the individual that needs a bit of a chat with their supervisor. Somebody made a dumb decision.

This man was my son he was NOT a child molester. He was in for drugs. If it was YOU who got hit in the head you would do anything to get help ASAP. As for the what your tax's pay for they do NOT pay for inmates to be housed. The Gov is NOT broke they are just greedy. You have no clue do you? I feel for law enforcement and anyone who works for the Gov. If you know anything you would know all corporations are all about private banking. And they hire those who are blind and ignorant. Oh and the ones who were picked on as kids...

Stop and think about how many sheeple pay taxes on everything we buy.. You even pay taxes every year on your home. When I go to the store and buy a Television do I get taxed on it every year?.. Wake up !!!!

He was hurt very bad. He had a head injury so bad he had memory loss and headaches for a year. Before you open your mouth think about the person you are spewing about. It could be your son or loved one some day ! Some people are so ignorant. You are probably a CO who works at that crap hole. By the sound of it you are probably one of the CO's that beats the crap out of the guys too...

Absolute corruption. The CCI administration is made up of a bunch of good ol'boys that play by their own rules. By airlifting this inmate and spending all that money it exaggerated the situation and aided the Kern County Dist-rict Attorney in criminal proceedings. It's not their money and helps fuel the prison industrial complex. Off topic, why is there no post regarding the regular practice by the officers on the, "D" yard and "C" yard, for excessive force. These officers, lead by Lt. CROUNSE and Sunny Pereze are going around acting like criminals and beating inmates . Not all inmate are sex offenders, child molesters or rapest.

State saved Billions over the years they failed to provide inmates with a constitutional- human right. "Medical care". Thats the cost of medical every where in the state. Even if they in prison they deserve it. To bad thats gotta come out of the ccopa.
