I agree 100% with "Seth's Law."What I find most disturbing is that it takes a LAW to confirm a RIGHT that should be SELF-EVIDENT to ALL but the Bigots;and, the Brain-Dead of Society!

Why does this law exclude every other minority?

What is being excluded?

"AB 9, also known as "Seth’s Law," would ensure that every school in California implements updated anti-harassment and anti-discrimination policies and programs that include actual or perceived sexual orientation and gender identity and expression, as well as race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, disability, and religion."

Ok. I guess I'm just having a difficult time understanding how gender identity rights apply to children in school. As an adult at work I can not understand an appropriate circumstance where gender identity would apply. Would this involve co-ed bathrooms and showers? Boys whering skirts and dresses?

There are many cases where a child is born as one sex but has a mind of the other which may cause them to act more like the other sex instead. This law is to make sure they're protected as well.

I understand that. Everyone deserves compassion and kindness. The question is how does gender identity apply to children in school? I personaly don't see a problem with boys whering make up or kilts if that is the case. However it could be a little awkward if the boys started using the girls restroom before becoming co-ed. Obviously we can't be talking about encouraging sexual relations amoung children. Please forgive my ignorance, I honestly just want to know what encouraging gender identity entails.

I think that's where your misunderstanding lies. You seem to think this is going to encourage gender identity behavior when in fact it is there to protect it. That's all. If a child has this issue it will help keep them safe from those who want to cause them harm.

How would you identify someone who is homosexual if not by behavior? And in what circumstances would it be appropriate to verbaly identify yourself as gay or straight?

If the student exhibited no signs towards homosexuality they wouldn't need protecting from those who would harm someone like that. Behavior is about the only way to know besides them straight out telling people.

I don't understand your second question. You seem to assume there's an inappropriate time to identify with what you actually are when there should never be a problem with it. Thoughts like that are why we need laws like this because it leads to abusive behavior towards individuals just because of who they are.

Dear Moron,

This law adds sexual orientation to race, religion, etc.

Obviously your not understanding my question. When I was young it was considered inappropriate for children to express sexuality to include passing notes, making passes, inappropriate touching, kissing, or anything that could be considered sexual harassment. So how does one identify themselves as having a sexual preference without being inappropriate? I'm asking because this is not something that "straight "children are allowed.
