Drug Arrests In Tehachapi Darnell Lee (63) and Leticia Rodriguez (43)
Deputies and officers assigned to the East Area Special Enforcement Team (EASET) served a narcotic related search warrant. The search warrant was served in the City of Tehachapi on J Street. EASET, which is comprised of Kern County Sheriff's deputies, Tehachapi City Police Officers and Stallion Springs Police Officers conducted a detailed narcotic investigation over several weeks.
At the conclusion of the investigation, two residences were served with search warrants simultaneously. Several suspects were detained and upon the conclusion of the search, indications of narcotic sales were confirmed. These included scales, packaging, narcotics, and United States currency. All of the items located were seized and two arrests were made.
Darnell Lee (63) and Leticia Rodriguez (43) were arrested and transported to Kern County Sheriffs Central Receiving Facility (CRF) in Bakersfield.
Lee was charged with H.S. 11379 Possession of a controlled substance for sale, H.S. 11377 Possession of a controlled substance, H.S 11364 Possession of narcotic paraphernalia, and P.C. 182 Conspiracy. Lee was held in lieu of $33000 dollars bail.
Rodriguez was charged with H.S.11379, H.S.11377, P.C. 182 and P.C. 148 delay or resist a public officer. Rodriguez was also transported to CRF where she was held in lieu of $25000 dollars bail.
