[WalMart Cancer Spreading]

Oh no I just found out that Walmart is coming here. I just moved to Tehachapi from Granite Bay and fell in love with the area. A Walmart store brings a multitude of challenges...added traffic, increase in crime rates, and the stores do not fit in or beautify the area...shall we consider the small businesses in the surrounding area who will not be able to compete with Sam the Man...we will all soon be addicted to giving our dollars to the big man in town or should we opt to continue to support our local businesses and KEEP Walmart OUT of TOWN!

The story in our paper had comments from people who do not live in the area. Come to find out that the comments are found where ever there is a legal issue going on with WalMart. Seems that WalMart gets their bogus comments out there and wants people to think it is from supporters in the area.

OMG You small town minded people who go to Bakersfield and shop at Walmart but do not want one in Tehachapi makes me want to move!!! Have you shopped at K-Mart lately?? I can never find anything I need at that sorry excuse for a store.

Might be a cure for the local Shops to stop ripping us a second one with there high prices, also saves some people gas to go to Lancaster or Bakersfield and them unwanted folks are already here, not to mention low income housing is being build already. City's are growing, no matter what and Tehachapi is not an exemption from that. Good example no one wanted Home Depot right ? and now the whole town is shopping there, how come ? Putting a Wall Mart here is not a cancer, sorry just a part of a City growing

Ya small shops rip people off n omg albertson groceries are so expensive they need competition can't wait for walmart come;))) so many towns including California city mojave ect will come to one in tehachapi much closer n tehachapi is so pretty .. We r moving back there in week can't wait for walmart start building!!!!!!!!

Home Depot ran the Ace hardware out of business and they just do hardware. When Wal-mart moves in, lots of business will go under and Tehachapi will become a ghost town

ACE ran themselves out of business with poor customer service and always having to special order everything. Home Depot has been here for almost 7 years, they had hardly anything to do with it.
