How aweful.
I am still trying to wrap my head around how someone can just toss objects over a prison fence and not be shot in the process. This couple's death, if connected, is just senseless...never should have happened.

What a sad ending to 2 lives that certainly didn't deserve to die in any manner or fashion. My prayers and sympathy go out to their family. Very sad. Now, if the Arizona convicts are their killers, all of them deserve to be skinned alive and hung out to dry.

Why do we tolerate this kind of crime? We WILL catch them. Then read them their rights. Then support them for a number of years with our tax dollars until we let them go or cook them. What happened to the good old days when we could think clearly about what to do with these kinds of criminals? As a society we are regressing. And you will just keep paying your taxes.

All you deeply confused believers in "rehabilitation" should be burned to death in travel trailers. Let's try a point system, and premeditated murder gets you 100 pts and an immediate death sentence. No more pussy footing around with career criminals, living off the hard-earned taxes of the rest of us LAW ABIDING citizens, like Gary and Linda Haas.

I am sick and tired of reading stories like this which are the result of a confused society that wants to coddle the criminal. When you tell a child "don't do that again" and he does it again, and again, and again, who has the problem, the child or the adult? THE ADULT! Discipline is a loving response. Permissiveness is NOT!

When we have a system that permits the breaking of law without consequences, WE THE PEOPLE, the law-abiding citizens suffer! This is insanity!

Sounds like it except, Province, McCluskey and Daniel Renwick escaped from a private, medium-security Arizona State Prison near Kingman on July 30 after authorities say the 44-year-old Welch threw wire cutters over the perimeter fence. Welch is McCluskey's fiancee and cousin.
