Shortly before 7:00 p.m. on September 12, police in Teaneck, New Jersey, pulled over a woman on Queen Anne Road, who was driving erratically. The woman, Sofia Bautista-Aparicio, 24, was taken into custody after failing several field sobriety tests. .

Im not an attorney ( but I did stay at a Holiday Inn express lol) This sounds like it could be a wrongfull death suit against ICE if someone they refused to deport kills someone.

This is all part of the new policy of ICE under Morton and Nappy. Their new policy is to only go after convicted felons, which means AFTER THE CRIME HAS BEEN COMMITTED.

This woman is only 24 yrs old. Does anyone think she won't do it again? Of course she will! God forbid ICE should protect us from her FUTURE DUIs <insert major sarcasm here>!! Apparently, ICE will only protect us AFTER AN ILLEGAL KILLS ONE OF US. A little too late, dontcha think? And all for what? To force Congress to pass AMNESTY.

She could still qualify for the Dream Act.

But Republican Sen. Jeff Session of Alabama released a "DREAM Alert" revealing that at least one version of the legislation would allow qualified illegal immigrants up to the age of 35 to gain resident status, prevent the Department of Homeland Security from removing any illegal who has a pending application – regardless of age or criminal record – and offers amnesty to qualified illegals with misdemeanor convictions, even DUIs.

I don't know what the drunk driving laws are like in NJ but here in MI people don't get released so easily even on first offence. If the penalties are tough enough on conviction maybe we will get lucky and she will self deport before the trial.

There is just no excuse for the willful and wanton disregard of the law that the government is showing to this issue.
