Excellent place to go--Lawrence Hayes is a great pastor and very supportive. I don't see the drama. If there is any (which there usually is anywhere you go) it's up to you as to whethr or not you involve yourwself with it. If you are there with a heart for God--what else matters?

what kind of drama? Yes, all churches have drama, but some churches have poor leadership not dealing with the drama...which is it?

I drive all the way from Bland County, about 45 minutes, just to attend this church. There is so much energy and involvement present there. I think it is a positive atmosphere for children also. The youth pastor, Mark Sexton, is great.

We attend TFWC--my daughter loves the children's program. Pastor Lawrence is very good and always gives an inspiring, thoughtful message. Go with an open heart for God and you will find Him there.

I hear that new church in Bluefield Va that was built behind Corte Construction is pretty cool...ummm East River Church....I hear that it is a great church...I am thinking about checking it out. My friends went there and said that they really enjoyed the preaching, the music, and the children's program. They are planning on going back and we are going to visit with them! Might be worth checking out!

I have went to TFWC since I was 5 years old, terry kitts was the first preacher along with don waddell... Every church has drama but with what i have seen the past 17 years is a church growing with a positive outlook on the community actually trying to spread the word and get people involved. It doesnt matter if you are pentecostal, baptist or whatever, it all comes from the same book, the bible. I know the elders of the church and some of the are actually my family. Barry absher preached for a good while and the church just kept growing and growing, the only reason he left was he had a calling to go spread his word elsewhere which worked out for the best.. Barry and lawrence are amazing people and our church is growing every week because hes brings energy every time steps into the building. Alot of churches look down on people for coming in and wearing ragidy clothes or they have been hooked on drugs and are really goin down hill without hope in sight, but thats the people that need to be in church to find that lord jesus can bring you out of it.. I know from experience.. TFWC does not judge and drama is the last thing on everybodies mind when you actually come to church and the energy is so excstatic that nobody is judged, no person will not be looked down on!!! I love this church and i will go there till the day I die. Basically all im saying is that the people of this church are dedicated to doing the work of. I honestly think everybody that has posted a comment on this bulletin complaining about the music, or just simple things like that, that causes drama. Yeah some people might not have the best voices but if they want to get up and rejoice for god ina song whose to stop them. Little things like that causes drama in churches and it is definately unnecessary. All these people that get dressed up to go to church on sunday just to judge are they for the wrong reasons anyway.

Attended TFWC...lots of good people...lots of bad. I think that the preaching is a drive thru message....quick and not wordy. He likes to be funny. Lots of sin in the workers of your church and they pat it on the back. The more sin in your life the better they like ya! You can go service after service and no word gets on your toes...you get a feather and you go home. Same singers every service. No Godly leadership...just give them the numbers and they are happy! Sorry, but the truth will stand!!!

Oh, come on! Are we talking about the same place? Lawrence had a beautiful, uplifting message yesterday. Wonderful service, lots of joyful praise--why do you need to have your toes stepped on? Why not be encouraged and uplifted? I'm sorry that you need steel-toe boots on Sunday morning. Maybe you should trade them in for a blessing and try TFWC again.

In regard to the sinners there--there are sinners in every church. The only perfect man died on a cross for us--so sinners will have hope and heaven. Go with a right heart (wherever you go) and you will please God--that's all we need to worry about anyway, right?

YOU COME ON! Have you arrived to the point that you never need correction? Some people may be satisfied with having a pat on the back, and never being preached what the word says, but I prefer rebuke and correction, just like the bible says. And further more, God is a God of judgement and wrath....does HELL seem like a place of encouragement and upliftment? That's where you go when you sin!!!! Hell is real! I would rather know the truth than to just feel good!
I know what I know. You CANNOT have Sunday school teachers living with men they are not married to.... You CANNOT justify sin in your leadership!
Churches need to quit making room for everything to draw crowds, and make room for God!
If you reign with Christ, you will suffer with him!!! It's not always encouragement and upliftment....there is correction and rebuke! You obviously don't have kids or you would understand the whole concept!!!! You love them, and you correct them, and yes it hurts and yes you step on toes!!!!

Are you one of those cult churches with the long hair and dresses, Sad?

Actually no, I don't go to church anywhere... there is more sin in a pulpit in most churches than in the world!!!!! But, I will say I don't think the long hair and dresses is cultish if that is what they choose.....how about simply descent and modest vs the skirts up to their butt cheeks in the choir!!!
