It's been like that for months...I'm surprised it's not caused a bad wreck. I don't see how they could perceive that as being more safe than a regular one.

It's not like there's a huge amount of traffic in Tazewell, they don't even need a light there! Turn it off, save electricity and put up a stop sign!

Ask the Tazewell Town Police Cheif BH why he wanted the red lights to do that.

was it because someone close to him can't seem to obey the law? lol

It's not complicated, Fincastle has the right of way, Tazewell Ave. must yield

I kinda think the traffic flows a little better through there. How many times have we all been caught by that light just sitting there with no one in site from the other way and now we don't have to sit there till the light changes. I kinda like it, just gotta know how to use it.

no actually the light was pulled out over a dumbass tractor and trailor that didnt no wear he was going and tour it out and puleed a crap load of wires out and the town doesnt have the money to fix it and also heard there going to put stop signs up since no one seems to stop at the stop lines there at the lights same as a stop sign you know the wide white stripes that run cross the rd.

That light's sensors were wired backwards just like the light @ 4-way in front of Advance. If you are the only car around and are far away, and its green, then you get close, it starts turning red! I use to run the Taz Ave. light @ 5am every morning because of this fact.

Hate the flashing light!!! It's so dangerous and I wish they would turn it back. Can't even begin to count how many times I've had to slam on the brakes to avoid geting t-boned by A-holes who can't do the speed limit through there.(and yes I do come to a complete stop and look both ways, then look both ways again!) Is there a particular reason people feel the need to do 40 around that curve coming towards the light? They all know it's there and that it IS an intersection. I'm shocked that there are not more accidents...

The town council held a public hearing to get the public's imput on repairing or removing the light. Not sure how many of all you concern citizens showed up to voice your opinion, but last I heard the lights will be taken down and stop signs put up. People will probably just run the stop signs just like they did the red light!!!

We need a weight-sensor controlled red light at the fairgrounds railroad tracks. Many commercial trucks travel that road and have to cross the center line to make it through there. With respects to recipes accidents that have happened there, another major one is imminent. Loss of life is something that can be and should be prevented.
