Officials with the Claiborne County Sheriff's Office and a federal grand jury in Knoxville said 50 people will soon go to jail for their involvement in a prescription pill pipeline which reaches Florida.

Last month, officials arrested several people including Trent Bussell and Amanda Bible in both Claiborne County and Florida in connection with the pipeline. Bussell and Bible were both charged with trafficking in oxycodone in Florida. Both are still in jail.

A release from the Department of Justice stated that 35-year-old Bussell and others were involved in drug trafficking and money laundering for over two years and included several drugs such as oxycodone, hydromorphone and hydrocodone.

According to a release, sheriffs said there are now 50 indictments for charges ranging from conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute to sell of over 2,000 grams of oxycodone.

Officials arrested and indicted sixteen of the individuals involved with the federal drug trafficking conspiracy on Wednesday. Those arrested included, 64-year-old Leonard Bussell of Tazewell; 58-year-old Geneva Bussell of Tazewell; 28-year-old Kenneth Trent Mason of Harrogate; 31-year-old Crystal Nicole Mason of Speedwell; 37-year-old Christopher Ray Mason of Tazewell; 36-year-old Rodger Gerrid Bussell of New Tazewell; 48-year-old Randy Williams of New Tazewell; 42-year-old Dwight Creech of Cumberland, Kentucky; 39-year-old Jeff Adcock of New Tazewell; 27-year-old Johnny Harvey of Knoxville; 61-year-old Jackie Mize of Harrogate; 40-year-old Billy Mize of Harrogate; 62-year-old Carson Day of Tazewell; 43-year-old Mary Lynn Caldwell of Harrogate and 33-year-old Tonya Miracle of New Tazewell.

Nicole Seal, 31, of New Tazewell; Jessica Wilson, 37, of New Tazewell; and Althea Gamble, 58, of Warren, Michigan were also indicted in the federal money laundering conspiracy.

Officials will take those who were arrested to the Claiborne County Jail where some will then be transported to Federal Court in Knoxville. If they are convicted the defendant faces charges for up to 20 years in prison.

During the investigation officers seized several items including a houseboat, pontoon boat, three jet skis, four 4x4 ATV's, several motorcycles, lots of currency, and several cars and trucks.

According to Claiborne County Sheriff David Ray, arrests made on Wednesday dismantled the criminal enterprise.
