Shelby Baltrip

Does anyone know Shelby or Todd Baltrip?? Any info about them would be greatly appreciated, thanks

She died from a drug overdose about two weeks ago...todd and his mom lana thru everything into garbage bags and took to the dump...todd went back to neveda , her truck is still sitting there...her little girl went with child services....I think..house is empty and her dog is gone, someone took the cat...george and lana live in kodak...and george sells at the indoor flea market in tazwell on the weekend I hear....

I do have todds parents address and also todds...he lives in nevada .100 MILES BETWEEN reno and vegas..shelby also had 3 more alias. ..have those also last one was glenda potts...hope this helps....

everything is very helpful, we r finding out bits and pieces of info ea. day. we heard a woman and daughter were living w/shelby named Kim and Skyler, do these people sound familiar to u?? thanks for your help, shelby's family(glenda her birth name) just want closure as to what has happened to her, her daughter, and their lives in the last 4+ yrs. in tennessee. thank u again, and God Bless!

I've lived her for two years and in that time no one but her and her daughter had lived with her..todd only came in maybe 2 times a year and would leave...you may want to contact the tazewell police department as to where her daughter went..todd had gotten another girl pregnant in neveda , she had the baby and heard it had birth defects...i was told this by lana baltrip...we. are not freinds just happened to run into her in morristown...I would highly suggest you contact cheif Lamb of the tazewell police department..being a relative I'm sure they can give you all the information you need, autopsy reports police reports and the where abouts of her daughter..

I knew Shelby, know the Baltrips, and all of the details that have been posted here, but I must say that I am absolutely shocked that someone would be so willing to just splatter the messy info all over Topix as if it's no big thing. Let me be the first to say that I think what happened to this woman and her Daughter is a tragedy. I didn't know her well, or for very long, but even with the aliases and everything else in between, from what I could tell she was a nice person. Yeah, maybe her life was a little messed up, but no one knows what was going on underneath it all and maybe she didn't want anyone to know. It's a shame that no one around here even seemed to care that she died, but I can say personally it broke my heart, and it breaks my heart to see someone carelessly gossip about her life in light of recent events. And I can only wish for the best for that poor child. If anything good could come of this post, I would hope to at least know what has happened to her. I know she is in state custody and there was a court date, and I know she has still been going to school. As far as Overdose is concerned, I was told that it would take months to get the autopsy back, so did you see the autopsy? You must be close to know everything going on at the house...and if you are friends with the Baltrips it seems a bit rude that you would post all of their personal info on a forum, especially where someone lives. I've read the other threads as well and it's just shocking. Who are you? I guess I'm just a kind-hearted person because I think everyone deserves the right to be loved and remembered for who they were, not the mistakes they have made. I hope she's in a better place and I hope someone is loving that child as much as she would.

If this is her Family, how come they don't know what she has been doing for the last 4 years?

If you knew shelby or what ever name she was using at the time then you know all about her...enough said ..and if you know the baltrips...you must know nobody in this neighborhood was sad to see them leave..hoping the best for the little girl...

Thankyou unbelievable for your comments they are very much appreciated. In reguards to the rumor of an overdose, that was not true. As the family, we would like the answers too. We loved her very much unconditionally. She wanted to go her own way and we respect that. About your answer of not knowing where or what she was doing for the last 4yrs. was her and her partner/husbands?? choice. that was their decision. We, were not their for her because that was the way she wanted it. Our main concern is for her daughter, for her sake, we need to filter out as much info as possible. We like hearing from the people that knew her best these last 4 yrs.; good, bad, or indifferent. Thanks to all. We do not want to hurt anyone that know our dear beloved Glenda/Shelby.

You can't help your nieces choices. That was her decision. I can tell you that if you are a loving person who cares about family, you will do everything possible to rescue her little girl from states custody if you can provide a better home for her. It may be too late to help Shelby, but at least leave some trail for her little girl to find to know someone in her biological family kept up with her well-being when she is older.

i have seen the little girl around. she is in good hands and seems to be very happy and very cared for.. always seems to be smiling when i have saw her around. always has a little toy in her hand that she is hugging.

Tazewell is full of hypocrites that talk smack about everybody else to deflect the bad things they do themselves. I would even bet that most of these naysayers are drug addicts themselves. So as far as "Aunt of Deceased" is concerned, I would not believe much of what is being said here as they would lie to you with their pastor standing right beside them just nodding their head in agreement. These people do not have any common sense whatsoever, much less a tad bit of decorum about themselves.

For Aunt of deceased...a tazewell sheriffs squad car came and picked up bags that I can only assume were Gracie's clothes..for the last 3days everthing including the carpet and furniture was hauled off in two trucks..saw Todd one day watching his mom do all the work.....the other days two other men helped haul things away...seems like lana is used to cleaning up messes of the Baltrip men ...glad to hear Gracie is playing and enjoying life ..because the conditions in that home could of been on a episode of Hoarders...hope she has a wonderful new life ....

"justbecuz" are u sure it was Todd their? we checked with people in Round Mtn, NV and they said he was back to work at that time. Are u sure of your source? We also know that Gracie is safe and sound. Yes, she sounds very happy. We all can't wait to have her out west with family. Since she left Nv. when she was very small, she does not know that she has relatives in Mont, Nv, Wash, Or, Wy, and Ca.
She will be excited as to how much her life is going to change, and how it will be 'wonderful' for her when she's in a stable home with family that loves her. God Bless all of you for the information, it is sincerely appreciated.

Again, I don't understand why someone would post the things you have said justbecuz. I understand if you or most of the neighbors didn't like her, she was different and outspoken. I liked her from what little I knew her. I can't begin to tell you the nice things she did for me. Very kind and generous actually. People get what they give. Maybe you treated her poorly, I don't know, because it does seem that you would based on your disrespect for her here. She is dead ya know. And maybe you knew things about her that I didn't, but I try not to judge people and look for the best. What I can say for her is that I know she loved Gracie very much and that child had everything she wanted and more. She did a lot of things for her. Todd was not here during the time frame when they started moving things out just as her aunt has stated. He was here when initially went through her stuff and probably had a hard time going through all of it with the limited time he had and in his emotional state. Despite their odd long distance relationship, I could tell he was obviously very sad but maybe didn't know how to deal with everything being as complicated as it is. You say I must know that no one liked her or the Baltrips, but I did not know that. I am not friends with the Baltrips or anything and haven't known them long at all. I also don't know about whatever messes you are referring to. Their lives are none of my business. But I can also tell you that Shelby's home was nothing close to an episode of Hoarder's. That is an outright lie. I have been in that home on several different occasions and sometimes it was a little messy, but if you have a child, that is going to happen. There is no way that house was in the "condition" you claim. Had you ever been over there? She did have a lot of belongings, but the floor was clear other than toys and you could get around no problem. Of course Gracie's room was messy, but what child's isn't? How many garbage bags full would you have if someone cleaned your house out right now? I'd bet a whole heck of a lot, just like anyone else. It's called having a home. I've got boxes full of stuff in all of my closets of stuff that is sentimental, stuff I plan to yard sale, etc. Plus Lana also cleared out all of the foods in the cabinets, fridge, etc. That right there is enough to fill a lot of bags depending on what she had. I just wish you wouldn't make her seem like such a piece of trash, because she was a nice person, you just didn't give her a chance. And I am very glad to hear that Gracie is doing well. I just wish she didn't have to live life without her mother and especially after what she has experienced.

Just wanted to add to the above info., Shelby did not mean anything to Todd except a death insurance policy that was put on her. The ones that are going to benefit from this policy is Todd's girlfriend and son in Rnd. Mtn., NV; which he had while he was married to Shelby. It's sad, because her daughter will get nothing from the insurance policy. What a travesty!
