Is this the same fellow who played football for ACHS a couple of years ago? Didn't he get a scholarship to NC State, but didn't have the grades? I guess the home invasion business isn't working out too well, either....

]He looks like a very "popular" person in prison...

First off you don't know me ot Wat I been.through ...I did go to HMA ( hargrave military academy ) and NC state. I wasn't kicked out of school. I made the decision to leave NC state because my father was in a car accident and was in very bad shape. I not knowing what was going to happen and being in jeopardy of failing 2 classes chose to sign release papers. My father lived and is now paraplegic . My kgrandmother died shortly there after. Being young and from a place where people don't go to college let alone get scholarshipS, I gave up on myself and started running in the streets. I was at my all time lowest and did alt of thing I'm not proud of. I have been to prison once for common law robbery for a year.at the time of the alleged robbery I was still being contacted by numerous schools even NC STATE "best football program in NC ". I am not looking for pity and no one may ever read this post. I just wanted you to hear it from the horses mouth what actually happened. If God sees fit in allowing me to pursue an education and maybe even play a little football, I could be.one shot in the dark away from being
one a hell of story even a miracle if ya will. My life has had many twist and turns mostly all up hill also but God has blessed me and gave me chances that most kids dream of. I have matured a lot and realized all those things are part of his plans for me. I hope that someone will give the kid one more shot at getting an education and possibly playing football. If you have read this thank you for your time.

As ur cousin and someone who left that piss poor redneck town, someone who knows what you have been thru and what you have come from...I would say that was very well said....To all the nay-sayers... who cares what you think? They talked about Jesus and then crucified him. Y'all always seem to point out all the bad in ppl vs find some truth.Stigmatize and label young men so they have nothing good to look forward to.Go find some business in Taylorsville.. Love u Kyle and continue to trust God and stay positive...if they like it we love it...

Kyle,
Sounds like "say it ain't so" would be a good mentor for you since he has never done anything wrong.
Just keep moving forward!

Others have had much worse circumstances and still went on to be productive citizens. You made poor choices and you (as well as society) have to deal with the consequences. Perhaps if you had put the same effort into your studies as you did in "running the streets" you'd be something other than an ex-con.

Why do you choose to see yourself as a "victim"? Obviously, you had some football talent - a talent you chose to waste. NC State is the program that will take as many academic exceptions as possible. If you couldn't get into State as a true freshman, what makes you think you had any potential as a college student?

It's no wonder athletes from AC have a hard time getting recruited. Look at the legacy you have made for yourself.....

Decent football player...convicted felon. Nice to put on a resume.

Linney this is your Hargrave Millitary Academy brother, Corb. I'm glad to hear that youre on the right path and hungry for the positive. You're as real as it gets,I know you are tough because we made it through the "Grave", Coach Prunty definitely taught how to respond to adversity . Along with Q Coples, Z brown, Mo Wilk,Sam Jones,Jermaine, Murph,J Pleasant, Dwight, Enrique,Marcus Temple and Mackey you certainly have that same rare NFL caliber combination of size, athleticism and toughness. Keep Grindin' Linney battling with ya'll at the Grave has got me working relentless in sessions, work ethic respected. hmu bro donvagan@hotmail

Kyle...Look at Josh Hamilton as a sport's role model. He continues to fight the demons and wins one day at a time. So can you. Let Jesus Christ be your coach. Along with your dedication to the new life and following the dream you have always had, life can be positive and good. You're a winner. Get to work.
