I have heard people talking around town that a graduating senior named Paige Wimsatt passed away at a graduation party on Thursday. Is this true? If so, I am so heartbroken for her, her family and her friends.

Actually, it's xanax,
I feel so badly for this family and the girl, but you kids have got to learn that just because a drug comes from the pharmacy, it is STILL DANGEROUS. And just because it doesn't hurt your friend when they take it doesn't mean it won't kill you. That's why these drugs have to be prescribed by a doctor then double-checked by a pharmacist. Some people are even allergic to various prescription drugs and don't even know it. Or you may have taken something else that will react with what you're taken that will make it hurt or kill you.
Want to know what xanax can cause? Here...
* shortness of breath * seizures * seeing things or hearing voices that do not exist (hallucinating) * severe skin rash * yellowing of the skin or eyes * depression * memory problems * confusion * problems with speech * unusual changes in behavior or mood * thinking about harming or killing yourself or trying to do so * problems with coordination or balance * death
PLEASE kids, stop abusing these pills. The next time you want to, think of this young lady. Especially those of you who knew her.

I didn't know Paige, but I'm devastated for her, her family and her friends. I cannot imagine the grief (and anger) of those who love her.
As an adult and Mother, I can look back on my younger years and think "How stupid was I?" i can remember feeling indestructible. That nothing bad could or would happen to me or my friends. I was lucky to survive to adulthood.
Paige's death us a horrible, horrible tragedy. I hope other teens learn from this tragedy. A temporary "high" is not worth risking your life. Sure, it's fun, bit it is not worth the risk. And if you won't be cautious for yourself, be cautious for those who love you. A parent should never have to bury a child, especially when their death was very preventable. My heart and prayers go out to them.

Isn't all of this heresay right now? Can anyone confirm or prove it was an overdose? If not, shame on you all for spreading rumours. This is not just the latest thing for people to talk about, a young girl is gone and her loved ones are suffering deeply. No matter what did happened, that's what people should be concerned about, how her family is trying to cope and nothing else.

When a young person dies, I think it is very natural to want to know how it happened, especially when you are a parent who has kids running with the same crowd as the deceased child. As a Mom myself, I cannot imagine the pain and grief that is upon her family. No parent should have to bury their child. And it makes it even worse IF the death was preventable.

I just graduated with Paige on Tuesday. She was a very close friend and a very sweet girl. No one has anything better to do than to but in everyone's business. Even if she overdosed people tried to help her. Her parents, her friends & her family tried to stop it. She was 18 years old, she was gonna do it regardless of what anyone said. I know what happened. But its none of anyone's business including mine. God wanted her, he got her. He had better plans for her on the other side. She will be missed by everyone & will always hold a special place in our hearts. Rest easy **PAIGE WIMSATT**. Watch over us all down here & keep us safe! Love ya girl!!!

Paige overdosed accidently. She was making college plans, summer plans and she was very happy. She did not do it on purpose. Anyone that knew her, knew how much she loved life itself. She was a great soccer player, a good student and she did not deserve to leave us. But God has plans that only faith can defend. We will never have another chance to see her smile or hear her laugh. Please pray for all of us.

I don't think anyone is tryng to say anything bad about Paige here. They just want others to learn from this tragedy, that these drugs are very dangerous. I'm sure she never meant this to happen.
God rest her soul, and God be with her family and friends. Even those of us who didn't know her are heartbroken for those who did.

This is such a tragedy and our hearts grieve with Paige's family. I pray that others who are currently abusing drugs/alcohol will learn from this and get off the path that leads to destruction. So many teenagers think it is cool and fun to get high. They think nothing bad will happen to them. God loves us so much that he gives us freedom to make choices, even if those choices aren't for good. My prayer is that anyone who knew Paige and is currently making destructive choices, that they would see the truth and turn to God to satisfy them instead of drugs/alcohol.

Well As Being The One Who Found Her... To ANYONE Who Says She OD Is WRONG. So Stop Saying It! It Was An Accident && It Isnt Fair That It Happened But It Happended For A Reason... She Was Put On The Earth For A Purpose, Everyone Is, And God Felt That Her Purpose Had Been Served On This Earth So He Took Her Home. She Was My Best Friend/Cousin And Meant More To Me Than Anyone. It Is Not Going To Be Easy For Me Or Her Family && Friends. But It Would Be SOOOO Much Appreciated If That Anyone Who Doesnt Know What Really Happened Would Stop Telling People What They Think Is The Truth, Because I Have Heard Very Aweful Things That People Are Saying Happened To Her. So Please For Me And My Family, Stop. Let Us Grieve In Peace Without Having To Worry About False Roumors About What Happened. Honestly, It's No Ones Business.

My best friend passed away suddenly right after we graduated. So, I know what you and yours are going through. My heart goes out to you. OD just means "overdose", not suicide.

KELSEY FOUND HER AND SHE KNOWS WHAT HAPPENED STILL NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!! Dear Annoyed, I am so very sorry for your loss. You are understandably upset about your loved one's passing. In all due respect, Kelsey states "she did not OD, it was an accident". This sounds like she thinks that an overdose is always suicide, which is not the case. Nobody on here is saying that it is their business to know the details of her passing. However, many of us have children and we are very concerned. So, please don't get defensive. My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.
