Just here lately there have been small 2.+ magnitude earthquakes in the area...Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Tennessee, but no Kentucky. How was your trip?
Morning SB, dang changed names again. Silly B would be cool. Hu Hu Hu. Dang hammock keeps dumping me on the ground. I'm trying to watch a meteor shower. Had a 2.+ rumbler in the seat of my drawers a few minutes ago. Dang what was that a shadow of? I'm really not scared out here in the dark. I got my flashlight and antique Dale Evans pocket knife complete with nail file. I'll just grab those mean ol' bears and file their claws and teeth down to the quick, then they can't bite or claw me. I kind of like changing names, then the mean ol' trolls don't know who I am. Man, I think I might be on a trip right now.

'The Kiss' smoochers reunited for 67th anniversary of VJ day

You can see them on the msn homepage or just google, all the news outlets have the picture. It is precious. Imagine after all these years they are identified and reunite.

I think with that I will go see if there are any shooting stars left to see. They said if you missed them last night you might see them if you have clear skies. It is a beautiful night. Summer is coming to a close. Cool out. Crisp, just loving it. So grateful we have beautiful weather, grass, flowers etc due to our fortune of rain.

I hope you all had a great weekend. AW, Hempburn, trusted, "nope", hiveless bees :) and the rest of the good posters, have a marvelous Monday.

Goodnight!

Me too. Have everything he recorded. One of my most memorable concerts too. He is coming to Louisville, I plan to see him again. Sure will miss Clarence though. Glad you enjoyed it. Have a great night.

Never saw him in concert, but I happened to be driving through Janesville, Wisconsin the day he and his sweety were getting married there. The town was quite the buzz as I remember, around 25 years ago.

SOME ODD SIGNS SEEN AROUND TOWN

In the front yard of a funeral home, "Drive carefully, we'll wait."

In a nonsmoking area, "If we see you smoking, we will assume you are on fire and take appropriate action."

On a maternity room door, "Push, Push, Push."

On a front door, "Everyone on the premises is a vegetarian except the dog."

At an optometrist's office, "If you don't see what you're looking for, you've come to the right place."

On a taxidermist's window, "We really know our stuff."

On a butcher's window, "Let me meat your needs."

On a fence, "Salesmen welcome. Dog food is expensive."

At a car dealership, "The best way to get back on your feet -- miss a car payment."

Outside a muffler shop, "No appointment necessary. We'll hear you coming."

On a desk in a reception room, "We shoot every 3rd salesman, and the 2nd one just left."

In a veterinarian's waiting room, "Be back in 5 minutes. Sit! Stay!"

In a Beauty Shop, "Dye now!"

On the side of a garbage truck, "We've got what it takes to take what you've got." (Burglars, politicians, and especially the IRS may copy.)

In a restaurant window, "Don't stand there and be hungry, come in and get fed up."

Inside a bowling alley, "Please be quiet. We need to hear a pin drop."

In a cafeteria, "Shoes are required to eat in the cafeteria. Socks can eat any place they want."

Welcome back! I did what I could to help with that "situation" we had going on. Glad to see you back, and hello to everyone else too!! What's the deal with things now? I've stayed off of here in hopes of at least keeping my own stalkers out of the mix. Dang those full moons, it brings out the diseased minds, LOL! Anyway, hopefully this thread is going to be more peaceful now.. I've missed talking to you good folks.

On another note: I tried my darnedest to catch sight of some meteors the other night. It was a cloudless sky, we live in the middle of no where and there isn't any city lights to interfere. Yet I saw not a single one! Last year I think it rained, and the one before that was cloudy. I was really looking forward to catching a few glimpses of some "falling stars", as we used to call them when we were kids... I don't have a single clue why they weren't visible here. And I tried intermitantly from 11 p.m. right up to 2:30 a.m. So did anyone else see any, or was it just my household that got unlucky?

it is truly sad that your diseased mind is out on the prowl under all moon phases. that was a very offensive thing to post, but not uncommon for you posers.

Glad to see YOU back Nope! After witnessing that giant meteor with the flaming tail back in 2002 or 2003, nothing else compares, or even gets close. Do you remember that one? It was late in the evening and was still light outside. It was an amazing ball of flame!

Hi Pete!!! I've missed you all. And par for the course... Oh well.

Nope, I didn't see that one. If it's the one I'm thinking of, that meteor came through when I was out of state for a bit and it was cloudy for days and days during it... I was SO sorry not to have gotten to see it. Were you in Kentucky then and saw it from here?

I'll have to Google that one to get specifics. Yes, I was in Western Kentucky at the time..yeeks! I believe this one was probably seen by the entire Eastern Hemisphere though. The only thing to compare to that was the thing with 3 lights on it, 100 yrds. from my home.(That should wake up the skeptics)

Yes, please Google it for me! I'm too lazy this morning to do it, hehe. At least I'm being honest, LOL!

I'm going to go make one of my infamous smoothies right now. I'm starting to feel like my glucose getting too low... Gotta check it real quick.
