I am the daughter of Jody Niceley, the shooting victim in this case. I would just like to thank everyone who has demonstrated their support to our family during these trying times.
I know the Niceley family is devestated over the loss of this criminal from our society, and I am sorry for that. I mourned the loss of the woman my mother once was, however I never had to question her integrity. It must be hard to know that your family member is a murderer.
I say "murderer" because he tried to kill my mother and the only reason he is not a murderer is because my mother is a fighter. His action was the same regardless of the outcome. He shot my mother. A little left or right and this man would've been found guilty of murder.
I'm terribly sorry for the pain that Marc has put my family and his through. The Niceley family blames my mother's family for his conviction but I hope they know that every last one of us would rather have seen Marc and my mom live a happy life together than for the nightmare that has been our lives for the last 2 years. I would much rather hear my mom's beautiful voice and laugh, and know that she is happy in her brand new marriage. We NEVER wished or hoped that Marc would do this to all of us. We had no say in the matter and I pray the violence stops here. God Bless.

Nobody, no matter what the circumstance deserves to be shot and left dead by the person who is supposed to love them. Anyone who would wish anymore harm on the schneider family deserves to be sitting in jail right next to Marc!!!

I am someone who sat in the courtroom throughout the trial and heard testimony from the lead investigator that she (Amy Schorer) lied to the grand jury about blood evidence. Marc Niceley not only called 911 but he also gave Jody CPR. It amazed everyone with any degree of intelligence how Marc could of tried to kill someone when he saved her life by giving her CPR and calling 911. We can not have a just society when some of the law officers are willing to lie about facts of a case. The media does not care about an attempted sucicide. They are driven by sensationalism. Marc had never been in any trouble in his life before this incident. I am confident that a three judge panel will grant Mr. Niceley an appeal based on the injustice that was given out. Miss Schneider could not remember certain events when she testified. The facts of the case proved Marc Niceley's innocense. I know the family very well and they are some of the best people I have ever known.

I have knowN Marc for over five years and have also talked with a number of Cincinnati Bell employees about this situation. I keep hearing one common theme, "Jodi has/had tremendous psychological problems and was suicidal." Her best friend committed suicide a year before this incident! I am told by those who worked with both Jodi and Marc that Jodi was "not right" and had not been right for years.

If Marc had wanted her dead, he had bigger more deadly weapons to do the deed, he sure in the heck would not have used a 22 caliber!

Anyone who has police officers as friends will tell you that these officers, off the record, have stated repeatedly, "there are innocent people in jail"! Oh well, as long as it isn't us, what does it matter?

So, what are we going to do about this travesty of justice folks, sit in our nice cozy homes and say, oh poor Marc? Let's get off our dead butts and do something, like writing the govenor and asking for a new trial.

The only crime Marc Niceley did was marry a suicidal woman & have the shooting blamed on him. Her own Mother & Father had her put on drug medicine when she was about 14 or younger. Of course her daughter,Kelly) is very upset as her Mother paid all her bills until she married Marc.I have known him all his life & he has always been a caring, hard working man that would go out of his way to help you. He dearly loved Jody & the family dragged that poor woman into the court room, not knowing where she was or what was going on as the expert Doctors said she could not remember anything that had happened because it affected that part of her brain. My prayers go out to Jody and Marc & hopefully Marc will go free soon as he is innocent of this crime.

I cant believe all of the ignorance in this world... good luck writing the governor!!! I find this to be the single most humorous page on the internet!! If your mom was shot I'm sure the first thing you would think of is the one or two times she helped you pay rent right?? And the reason he called 911, used a .22, and "gave CPR" is because he was trying to APPEAR innocent... that's usually what you do when you FAKE A SUICIDE!!! The family didn't drag Jody anywhere... they weren't the ones with the subpoenas... get a clue idiots!!! Like anyone REALLY wanted to put her through something like that. It would have been much easier if Marc would've just never done something so stupid... Nobody ever wanted anything but for Marc and Jody to be happy together. For any one to say anything bad about Jody or her family is nothing but pure ignorance no matter how many days you sat in the court room... if you were there you should've listened to all of the evidence and not just what you wanted to hear... Kelly, sounds like to me you're a big cry baby and you can't face the fact that you're mom shot herself. Everybody knows you're mom is a psycho and was depressed. She shot herself, get over it, don't blame other people for her stupidity!

After all, once Marc and your retarded mother got married you got cut off from the money she was giving you. I think Kelly just shows how much she hated Marc by starting this page. Marc would never harm anyone. He is a loving man and a good father. The sad thing about this shooting is that the person who really shot Jodi is still at large and Marc's three children are without their father. Hopefully, the appeal process will set Marc free very soon. We all pray that the real person will be caught and then the Schneider's will have to eat their own nasty words. And if justice is really done maybe the will lock Jodi in the psycho ward like she should be.

I have known Marc and Jodi for years, and as sad as the situation is, I really don't believe Marc shot her. I am not really sure I believe she tried to commit suicide either. I believe it is a tragedy that has nearly destroyed two families, and some jackass is out there laughing his ass off, because he literally got away with murder.
