She left a family and people that love her...you could remember that and your heart should break everytime you think of somebody reading your post. A woman died and "She had it coming" is the best you can do...

That was my best friend in high school. I miss her more and more each day. She was a vibrant soul and adventurous young lady. My heart aches knowing that I will never be able to see her or hear her voice again. I LOVE YOU RUBY!!!! HEAVEN GAINED A NEW ANGEL !!!

What did you want me to do go back hold her hand and tell her too look both ways before crossing the street and not talk on the phone and pay attention to traffic...I don't like anybody getting hurt but were all are responsible for ourselves all the time

Keith, you could have executed a little more tact when posting. I could hope that your mind has the faculties to explore the option that her family and friends would be reading this article and posts that follow. Your reply should have been to say that you are sorry for the loss. Your heart would not be so callus if it were in fact YOUR girlfriend involved in this grave tragedy. Nobody blamed you for the accident itself, just for your tactless and thoughtless replies. May God be with you and your loved ones.

There is no doubt that this was a terrible tragedy, but I think you're being a little hard on "Keith", I'm not sure there was anything he could have done to help avoid this awful accident. He never said "she deserved it" he only stated what he saw. It is a tragedy that a young woman lost her life, but it is also a tragedy for the young man that hit her, and a terrible tragedy for his family as well. Their lives will never be the same from an accident that seems to have been unavoidable. Condolences to everyone invoved.

In attempting to find this article, I read of many more similar horrible accidents. What I would like to know is what have the authorities done to prevent more of these horrible accidents! How many more lives are to lost? Would it not be wise to put in place pedestrian walk ways, I see them in many other cities. These are used for bikers and pedestrians.

Don't judge lest ye be judged. One day you may find yourself in these shoes and FYI my sister was not on the cell phone when she was hit. Don't speak on things you don't know. You don't know the circumstances.

I think you should of kept your comment to yourself even though you have labeled my cousin to be a careless pedestrian and have hurt her family with such a statement as this even though the person you did see is still alive thank God for watching over that person and for his angels over us, God could have saved "Jamie" BUT IT WAS HER TIME TO GO TO HEAVEN.

Keith,
Go f*** yourself! I saw the accident too and the irony of it is she is my very close friend. I pray that you will not have to have a heavy heart. I guess as my father always told me, consider the source... Accidents happen son, thats why they are called accidents. Who cares about phones, the person that hit her was probably on the phone, how about that?
