Review: King's Moving & Storage

We moved from Spring Hill FL to Locust Grove VA in November 2012. While these movers were loading they broke 2 pieces of our furniture. We have been in touch with them in December. They promised a check was in the mail at least 3 times. They haven also stated several times that they had submitted a claim to the insurance company. To date, we have not received any monetary compensation. We have not heard from them since. They are hoping that we will forget this whole transaction and they won’t have to pay anything out.
They also charged us 3% extra for using a credit card which is not legal in Florida.
Several problems with this business. Poor communications, no follow-thru, Doesn't respond to emails, phone calls, etc. Broke 2 pieces of our furniture right in front of us so he had to admit the crew broke it. Promised check in mail several times. NOPE not here after 3 months. Promised claim submitted to insurance company. NOPE no word yet after 3 months. Charged a SURCHARGE for using credit card which is not legal in Florida. He's hoping if he waits long enough we will forget. Just reported him to our bank for surcharging, reported to VISA Corporate for surcharging, filed claim with Better Business Bureau for breakage not replaced or refunded & for surcharging for using credit cards. Lack of professionalism by the owner. So many lies and promises not kept. Not responding to our problems.
