how bad is the crime in tarpon springs?

after hearing about the recent burgleries in tarpon springs mobile home parks i wonder how safe it is in any home or apt. here? is crime bad here?

I do not believe it's safe and besides having crimes in the area, i just don't think the police there really care.

Hi, I've never been on T.S. Topix until today and can not get over all the crimes posted here. Twenty years ago I lived and worked in Tarpon and what a great place it was... sure some of the out of State shrimpers would cause some trouble, but heck I don't remember friends or family even locking their doors back then... what has happened? To much growth or something else?

Hope things improve in the future for everyone's sake.
