A western Pennsylvania man has waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges that he ordered the killing of a man outside an after-hours club after he was allegedly sold flour instead of cocaine.

Steven Scales sounds like a piece of work, to be sure. At least he's being held without bond. It ought to give him the time to work on his plea... work on all of the angles. He's probably good at that. He'll get his opportunity to plead his case in court. How fortunate we are to live here where people are innocent until proven guilty.
