This is the finest dining experience you can have!
The new owner has gone above and beyond to insure the best of everything.
Including the best management, and staff.
Treat yourself to a great night out.

Dan, which of the two restaurants are you talking about? I visited the Tarentum Station and would wholeheartedly agree that it is a fine dining experience.(http://centralpark bench.blogspot.com/2008/01/tar entum-station-opens.html)

I went to the Gatto diner yesterday
the food was bad and the service was poor
will not be back. I guess the tip off should have been the place was not busy during lunch
I should have went to Masserts

I suppose if you want to go to a place where cottage cheese is a vegetable there is always Massart's.

Sorry I did not mean to compare that awful diner with the Tarentum Station or imply that is was fine dining. I do not always have time to enjoy fine dining during lunch. I also like to avoid fast food chains

If i desire fine dining I stay closer to the city. I am sure the Tarentum Station is a fine place. Last month we did drive to Lautrec for one the best meals we have had in long time. It is well worth the drive

I did enjoy the authenic diner feel at the Gatto diner but the food and service are awful.

I'm sorry to hear your experience at Gatto's was not good. I've found it pretty reliable for good service and basic lunches.

I HIGHLY recommend Villa Ballanca! The food is AMAZING and VERY reasonable! I recently got married and we had our rehearsal dinner at Villa Ballanca. We budgeted $700, but spent less than $300 for 28 people! EVERYBODY in our party kept praising how wonderful the food and service was!

I just came home from dinner at Villa Ballanca, which lately has become one of my favorite places to eat in Lower Burrell.
I particularly like the fact that the menu offers such a variety. There is a good selection of inexpensive meals as well as a number of choices for more sophisticated dining.
