Your TAX DOLLARS AT WASTE! While traffic on rt. 28 is not ideal, I am not sure that this is the answer to our commuting needs. It won't be like New Jersey Transit or Metro North with 24 hour a day service. Infrequent and inconvenient service, along with "died in the wool" car users will doom this endeavor to failure.
I would give up my car for an extension of the East Busway along Washington Blvd that extends either across the abandoned railroad bridge to Aspinwall or along the Allegheny River Blvd. I'd put in tons of park and ride lots and I think it would be the ideal answer that takes advantage of our existing infrastructure. This rail line is a boondoggle!
