The Bishop of the Altoona-Johnstown Diocease is a power hungry maniac.

He closes parishes without regard to the communities that he destroys.

In this time when it is so hard to get peopel to come to church, let alone actively participate in one, why must he destroy good working parishes?

Who is his boss?

I'm in the Greensburg Diocese and if I could, I'd swap Bishops with you. Our Catholic weekly paper, called The Catholic Accent, should be called the Bishop Brandt Diary.

I was Catholic for 33 years and left the Catholic church. Contrary to what the Catholic church tells you, there are plenty of other excellent Christian churches that can lead you to salvation. Did/Do any of you consider leaving? I was fed up with having to raise money for everything while the vatacan aquired more gold. Of course, there were plenty of other reasons that inspired me to leave. I am just saying that this could be a door opening for you who have lost your church home.

It isn't the catholic church that's at fault, it's some of those in leadership. I wouldn't abandon my family because a few members practiced unethical behavior. I'm for cleaning house instead of abandoning it.
