yeah, but denying medical care to the cats? she might have had good intentions but when she realized that she had too many cats to properly take care of, she could have asked local shelters for help instead of letting so many of them become seriously ill and/or die.

Her intentions stopped mattering about 1000 cats ago. Come on, this woman is mentally ill and not fit to own ONE animal.

It is unfortunate that people are jumping to the conclusion that she in fact mistreated animals before she has her day in court. It seems that the conclusion may have been reached solely on the fact that some animals were not well.

The SPCA and the DA together did not draft charges with enough specificity to convict anyone on the first go around. They say they plan to re-file. Let them. Until there is an actual hearing with actual evidence of wrongdoing presented, I'm ready to hold off on reaching conclusions about what happened.

She might have been storing the carcasses for burial when it would be easier to dig a burial pit.

I can understand how that might have made sense to you. But leaving holes open on one's property does create the risk that a visitor or trespasser might fall in. Not everybody is ready to assume that liability.

You know, that is why I don't like "secut=rity lights". They show night-time trespassers where the traps are!! Of they get hurt, that isn't my fault, they shouldn't have been where they were!
