North Bend City Council has other issues that they should address with the extra capacity created at the waste treatment center. What about taking care of the homes currently inside the city limits of North Bend? Si View and Forester Woods with a zone of 4 residences per acre, they also need sewers.
The direction they are headed will be fought to a bitter end, as the current expansion towards Truck Town will require a public vote for annexation. Knowing that the City of North Bend wants to annex the area for the sewer will certainly put the homeowners in a situation to vote NO. The property owners that are hoping for the sewer and support the annexation are only property owners, they don't actually live in the area and consequently their votes won't be counted. The City of North Bend should be spending their funds on things that will actually drive econimic developement for the City and those that actually live in the City. |
