And I get ticked off with the excuse "it will be 7-10 yrs after drilling to see results". At least start it now so when time's up, we'll have something to go with.

"I'm ticked off at those stupid anti-oil people. Why the heck can't we drill in Alaska? Nobody lives there, and the polar bears are going extinct by their merry selves! We wouldn't have to worry about destroying Florida's tourism economy either! The heck with the environmentalists; I just want affordable gas!"

Oh yes, becaue our tourism dollars are so much more important than the entire species of polar bears.

By the way dummy, people do live in Alaska. There's actually a whole world going on outside of that narrow little brain of yours!

But hey - all's you want is cheaper gas. So we can't really expect you to be concerned for the State of Alaska or any silly animals that may live there.

I'm ticked off about my morning commute. A small accident, with minor bumper damage, causes the cops to close down ALL BUT ONE LANE during morning rush hour on the 408. Then 1/4 mile past the accident, are no less than 5 cops with radar guns pulling over innocent people who just need to get to work! There is NO SHAME with some precincts, if you need drugs, I heard Altamonte Cops have a great hook up!

I am ticked off at a bottled water firm for signing me up for a water delivery program at an arts show booth while not disclosing (and maybe hiding) the $100 cancellation fee. Then, after I canceled and refused to pay it, they sent the invoice for the remaining $70 to a collection agency, which magically increased the amount due to $204, which threatened to harm my credit rating. Finally, it turns out they improperly billed me the $100 after the required 12 months had already passed, so they ignored their own contract terms. Never buy bottled water contracts without reading all the hidden clauses about fees, etc. Their sales and collection practices are unethical."

So you are really mad that you didn't read what you were signing up for?

The environmentalist actually block most of the options:
Biofuel: increases food costs
Wind: the turbines kill birds
Solar: They cover too much land
Nuclear: The waste
Hydroelectric: It floods a lot of land, might kill some protected species
I probably forgot a couple

Even if they do start drilling, you still won't see affordable gas for quite some time. That is not a process that will happen overnight. Besides, oil is not a renewable source. At some point the gas prices could come down but as supplies decrease again, prices will go back up. Time to search for something else to fill our tanks with.

Uh, your gas won't be affordable because they take the gas from Alaska to California to be refined. If you look, Alaska has the highest gas prices in the nation right now.

Actually, no. If you do your research, many companies will buy patents to these renewable resources from the person(s) who created them and then do nothing with it.

If you watch "Who Killed the Electric Car," they talk about how one of the major players to impede the development of this car was a man who invested heavily in Ethanol.

This is one of my pet peeves. They show those stupid Cialis ads and the "Viva Viagra" one during family time. I don't have kids, but would be sweating bullets about watching tv at 8pm and having to answer the question "Mommy, what's ED?"
Why do men have to be such a baby about this? There's more to life than sex.

It'll be $5 a gallon by Christmas, I hope it gets to $20 a gallon soon..

That's the only way we're going to be forced to invent alternative means of fuel and get off the oil,, and stop funding the Ahabs..........

The price of gas going down? You delusional simpleton.

You are going to hear about the cost of exploration and drilling in Alaska and off the coast of Florida. Prices will go up because they spend profits to accomplish this. Where is all this "new" oil going to be refined? New refineries are VERY expensive to build and the cost will be passed along to the consumer. So explain your polar bear link again?

Your issue is with the power elite Republicans who are sucking all that is good in America into their fat wallets.

You mean there are still kids who don't already know all about it?

By the time my kids were 10 the only thing left for me to explain was that they had to save it for marriage so they wouldn't end up like certain messed-up relatives of theirs.
