Doesn't make it any more right that he did what he did, but I think he should be given some credit or showing up and apologizing for what he did. I think he should be shown some leniency for his actions, but not exoneration.

Would you be so forgiving if this guy would have gotten that vehicle started, drove down the rode and killed one of your loved ones? He admitted to trying to STEAL a vehicle.
I give him credit for returning to apologize, yet a crime was committed. We all are resposible for our own actions and whether you are drunk, on drugs, or whatever does not give you an excuse to commit crimes.

you would have done the same thing at 18 we all did stupid things and if you said you wouldn't your a liar or you didn't have a life then you were probably one of those who stayed home all the time and had no friends to have fun with.

First of all, at the age of 18 I was the mother of 2 children. So NO I did not do anything like that!! I was taking care of MY RESPONSIBILITIES!!! Yes I did have a life, friends and family and it did not consist of going out and getting drunk and comitting crimes. So, NOT all 18 year olds are out doing "stupid things"!!

Only 18 and 2 kids already? You should of been getting drunk and trying to steal a car...only to get home. Or better yet...you should of been staying home instead of getting pregnant.

hopefully you're sterile, because I don't want my taxpaying money to go towards raising your children, you ignorant fool. it wasn't that long ago that 18 years old was the normal age for childbirth. who are you to mandate an age for giving birth? 18 is legal adulthood to the best of my knowledge...do you disagree?
believe it or not, but responsibility and maturity do not always come with age, and there is no certain age at which you attain the perfect level of maturity to raise children.
do us all a favor and keep your ignorant, chauvinistic, backward minded opinions to yourself.
thanks!
