Mayor Burns commented in a local paper that he has received a lot of feedback regarding this English-only ordinance, and that hardly any was negative. Why?...because Thurmont is brimming with racism. I will be embarassed of my Town if this English-only ordinance is passed.
It's disgusting that there are businesses in Thurmont that outright deny services to minorities. For one, the Barber Shop on Water Street practices blantant racism. Turning away minorities, including young children and as quoted as saying "because we don't cut your kinds hair". Please, do not support this business.
