Gainesville coins offered a good price on selling gold coin, I bought them was later charged an additional 5% for credit card (that was $161) and the coins where worn and scratched. It was a night mare I am out over $220 after having to get this sorted out by my credit card company. Avoid them.

They get real nasty when you complain.

I wonder what you would have got if you shopped around?

Just google National Gold Exchange. The filed bankruptcy but just before formed Gainesville Coins and transfered assets. There is a court case pending and fraud charge from Sovereign Bank who lost 35 Million dollars. The Gainesville Coins ownership is the same Yaffe family as National Gold Exchange. Bankruptcy, Fraud, Customers and Banks holding the bag. Not a story - these are real facts if you search you'll see the articles in the Tampa Tribune, Tampa Business Journal among others.

You can buy your gold or silver from anyone, but just realize that Gainesville "might" be fulfilling your order with assets that could be frozen by the pending court case.

I don't know about all the supposed evil things written above, but today, I went to Gainesville coins. I was NOT impressed! Their office is in some sort of a building that looks like a school "portable". My wife noted that it was not very secure. I went into the building and spoke to a guy behind the desk. I wanted to purchase some bags of 90% silver coins. The employee behind the desk looked like he might just be out of high school. He seemed to know very little about 90% silver bags and really didn't care. I had the strong feeling he wished I would just go away and leave him alone...so I did. I won't be back to this dump again.

It's funny how ignorant people can be. When you buy bullion do you buy it for the numismatic value or the content of the metal itself? I've purchased from all of the major compaines; Apmex, Provident etc and when you buy bullion, even MS coins, they are transported in plastic tubs (I would say as you know, but there is no way based on your grammar and intelligence you've purchased 10+ ounces at a time) and become scratched.
I have also been to Oklahoma City on business and went
to go see the Apmex "showroom", which seems like an old Barnette Bank. To the person who
says the Gainesville showroom is a dump, I would love to see your actual house. I would be willing to bet I could give you a few boxes of Silver eagles for your home (plus some 90% for the tires on the home).
The bottom line is do your homework on the company your going to spend thousands of dollars with, but at least have some sort of knowledge about what you think is "scratched" and what effect it has on the value of the item.#ignoranceisbliss.

Today's "daily zeal" was posted as 50.00 for 1/2oz AVDP copper bullet normally .75 by accident, obviously, instead of .50. 100% in stock until the deal ran out ( there's a countdown clock) then suddenly they're SOLD OUT! like every days deals supposedly are. Shifty crooks

I visited the Gainesville coins showroom today and was really impressed. Ron was very knowledgeable and helpful. I was able to pick up some silver rounds at a much lower price than the shop I usually purchase from.

Before you go maligning some business, you had better know what you are talking about. The Gainesville showroom is beautiful with wood paneling and beautiful fixtures. I live locally and deal with them often. The folks behind the counter are extremely knowledgeable. And as far as security, they have a Hillsborough County Deputy in the showroom at all times. That deputy is responsible for buzzing customers through TWO doors while watching on multiple cameras.
So buster, you do not know what you are talking about OR you intentionally want to malign this company!

Folks the Gainesvill Coin dealer is in my opinion a FRAUD upon the people our investigation reveals that a prior buisness associate of Rainer's had Rainier Falsely arrested. Everyone at Gainesville Coins knew this so why they are posting salnder is beyond me. My information is Rainier's legal team looking into this for civil action. Now to get to FACTS Gainesvill Coins owner's use to operate NATIONAL GOLD EXCHANGE a Google of that name and the reading of stories will alert you to FACTS. This company filed a huge bankruptcy and left aloyt of people holding the bag then they merged with Gainesville Coins to hide in our opinion and more facts if you went to the Pinellas County Clerk's Office you will find Rainier "never" was charged with any crime so Gainesville Coins and their little boys who mommy nurses at night is giving the public FALSE information so how can you trust a company that gives misleading false information. The bottom line facts National Gold Exchange filed a huge bankruptcy and now they are affiliated with Gainesville Coins......Facts Joseph Rainier falsely arrested and "never" charged with a crime and that is verifiable with the Clerk's office in Pinellas County. Facts the little boys at gainesville Coins are con men in my strong opinion and unprofessinal and will LIE to your face. THAT'S THE FACTS FOLKS......
Well it is nice to know he wasn't charged in Pinellas county for a crime alledgly had committed in New York, because that would be crazy sauce. Try looking up the court record of NY then talk some more shit. Personally I don't care as long as I get what I ordered he could have beat an old lady and I would still buy as long as they send me what I pay for. Every mentions criminal records but has anyone not received their order I would like to know.
