Benny Hinn is a terrible person. He pretends to cure people. Never has his miracles been verified. Lets just pretend that he can heal people. Why doesn't he go to children's cancer wards and cure terminally ill kids. I have a problem with any man of G-d who lives in a 10 million dollar house. Drives multiple Mercedes. Flies in a private jet to vacations between his "mission," and only stays in thousand dollar a night hotels and easily spends a thousand a night on food. He is a con man who is using donations to his "church" for his own personal gain rather than for some good

But, can his message pass a Berean study? See Acts 17:11.

If you STUDY scripture, you know that self-help and instructions for living a more successful life are nowhere to be found

Joel Osteen is the best of teaching God's word and applying it to real life situations, having yourself in control.
Try to find David Jeremiah, Chuck Swindoll, or John McArthur on your local radio or TV station.

These men and women are not Christians. They/We are fooled. They lessen guilt feelings of the personal wealth of their congregation. It makes them feel better. O'Steen's wife had a hissy fit a few years ago at an airport because she was not treated like a goddess. This tells you about these people. All of the televangelists need to give up most of their worldly gains and live at best lower middle class. All of these televangelists must support America first as a nation before the state of Israel. Backing the middle east situation to protect Israel while watching the people of our nation lose rights is insanity. The Bible says that those who support the chosen people will prosper and be free. Why are we losing rights then? Why is there no complaints from the televangelists about those beautiful Patriot Acts, the loss of habeus corpus, the recently enacted terrorist act and all of those embedded laws that make martial law a great thing when it arrives. It is already partially here. False Christians. A special place in hell when they meet their fate.

The Preacher-man recalls when the tax rates imposed by Congress in 1954 on the taxable income of unmarried individuals included rates as high as 91%(earners over $1Million).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taxation_in_the_ ...

Such rate included strong incentives to re-invest in a wide range of plausible business enterprises, which in turn provided jobs for a church-going middle-class that no longer exists.

Since the Reagan-era tax cuts, the only result has been economic turmoil accompanied by the tax-35%-ers' accumulation of high maintenance crap that no one wants any more such as: mansions, 30'+ motorhomes, motoryachts, 300HP+ sports-cars and SUVs.

Like they tried to warn Butch Cassedy before he went on a suicidal bank-robbing rampage, "Butch, get over it, them days is gone." Likewise, the Preacher-man is attempting to inform his flock of the same fair-warning.

Reagan Era? You believe Reagan lowered the tax rate while he was acting?

"Our true choice is not between tax reduction, on the one hand, and the avoidance of large Federal deficits on the other. It is increasingly clear that no matter what party is in power, so long as our national security needs keep rising, an economy hampered by restrictive tax rates will never produce enough revenues to balance our budget just as it will never produce enough jobs or enough profits. Surely the lesson of the last decade is that budget deficits are not caused by wild-eyed spenders but by slow economic growth and periodic recessions and any new recession would break all deficit records. In short, it is a paradoxical truth that tax rates are too high today and tax revenues are too low and the soundest way to raise the revenues in the long run is to cut the rates now."
-John F. Kennedy

And he did.

When all else fails in one's quest to find a marketable skill, there's always preaching the gospel. Religion is the opiate of the masses and delivers the same euphoria, hence it's a very profitable vocation. However, standing behind the pulpit is the receiving end and standing before it is the giving side. Therefore, it's to anyone's advantage to "hear the calling" and preach rather than to have to listen to a sermon. If you're a newbie to Christianity and preaching, don't be afraid to plagiarize Jesus Christ's name in order to make a buck, everyone does.

This is soooo obvious to anyone not brainwashed by Talibagelicalism.

And he did.
In his 63' message to Congress, President Kennedy urged the top income tax rate be brought down from 91 percent to 65 percent. Congress only reduced the top rate to 70 percent.

I doubt you can find documentation to support JFK would have approved of tax rates in the 30s, especially in light of the current challenges facing us:

(1) climate change
(2) urgent need to be energy independent
(3) urgent need to re-build essential infrastructure
(4) War in Iraq

As it stands, we have absolutely nothing to show for the money squandered as a result of the post Reagan tax breaks but a MASSIVE inventory of high maintenance garbage no one really wants:
(1) McMansions
(2) Motor-yachts
(3) Large motorhomes
(4) Exotic sports/luxury cars, SUVs.

In closing, your response was polite; as such, appreciated.

Joel Olsteen is a charlaton...just like every other man or woman who makes a living off of promoting a fairy tale. Stop your delusive thinking and realize that believing in things you cannot observe is a form of mental illness.
Having such an intolerance for beliefs other than your own is also a form of mental illness--it's called narcissism. Your negativity toward others could also stem from depression. I'd be depressed if I thought like you do. Get some help, buddy.
