Tampa is a very dirty city. Areas around USF look really bad. I lived there for about 10yrs late 80's. Went back every couple of years. Spent a week there recently. Looks run down.

Not that I totally agree but many associate that time with law and order. These days with so much rampant crime, some will romanticize that period.
