Wayne, I asked that question on a different board yesterday. I would think that would be a requirement, especially given the fact he has a county issued vehicle!!!

Tomorrow there will be an attorney stating that he has further video of a Hillsborough County Detention Deputy placing the handgun in the Chief's car.

Just goes to show you all, that our public servants, people in trusted positions (priests, ministers, etc.) and other "officials" are the most corrupt people on the planet... period.

And guess why Congress "votes" themsleves a $100,000 pay raise every single year for a PART TIME JOB!!!! You get 3 guesses, and the first two don't even count!!!

Iguess everyone has him convicted already. As for “a firefighter,” perhaps you should learn to write/spell. I wonder what department you work with! I wonder why it matters so to Wayne that the Chief doesn’t live in the County. Roxie are you just glad to see someone who made it to the top of an organization fall. I’m sure it’s easy for you to just say “fire him.” I bet you would be the first to scream discrimination if it were you.

Think about this for a moment, Was there actually corruption for having a firearm from the chief himself ? I do not see corruption directly from the Chief himself since he never denied it and or tried covering it up from what I have read. Please show me if he did and I will gladly change my opinion. Regarding violating policy, he did without question and deserves discipline. The corruption I do see is from County Administrator Pat Bean for not having a immediate investigation ordered and placing the Chief on Administrative leave at once there for Pat Bean should loose her position right away. I am not against a Chief having a firearm for the thoughts of a scenario of a possibly disturbed individual that may cause a fire at a residence to kill a person or family that may return to the house to finish the job per say. This is only a example in which may happen. However at the same regards the County has set policies in which should be honored. I feel diplomatically the policies could of been changed if brought up set proven crime locations that took lives in these rare cases. The Chief was wrong in how he conducted himself and hiding the area of the weapon. There for, let him pay the price on the discipline and remove the County Commissioner Administrator at once along the side of Sheriff Gee and his assistant for their corruption.

I use proxy IPs on my computer. I live in Florida 20 minutes outside of Tampa. I just do this for security protection of my personal accounts online.

Like I said, basically I am weighing this all out in logic. Do you have by any chance or know where I can review the past actions of the County regarding this problem ?

Rick, no I don't know where you can find these answers. However I do feel that if it was an employee of the water department or traffic department that was arrested for these type of actions. I feel sure that the county administrator would relieve that person from duty until the court decided.
Then that employee would be charged with a violation of the county's policy ref: guns on county property.
We will see in the future. However my money is on the Chief, same as the Sheriff and his inquisition.
Nothing will come of it as the whole orginization is corrupt.
Just my opinion !

Its about time his talking out both sides of his mouth catches up with him. He received a vote of no confidence from the HCFR firefighters. He even had an affair with the wife one of the firefighter who worked for him. Scum bag
