Bi-polar in it's self does not account for a person missing moments in their day. Someone with psychotic features to their disorder..perhaps. I am tired of the news reports and this attorny questioning this man's bi-polar diagnosis. It is not a reason for this tragedy. This man has more going on and there is evidence that many others were aware of this over the years. Those persons who allowed this man to continue to walk the streets and end up murdering two helpless children and their mother should hold accountability for this and we the tax payers should not have to pay for his support for the next 20 years. I am tired of our system looking for excuses, I am tired of everyone so afraid of law suits, so careful to protect themselves that we have child moleters in our schools and murders walking our streets. Someone needs to step up to the plate and stop giving these people excuses, stop allowing them to multiply in our streets! This man needs to be put in the chair, we have no more room for mistakes that err on the side of our innocent children! Does it not make more sense to err on the side of one man then to err on the side of two more dead babies or six more molested children!

I commend Channel 10 for not showing the gruesome photos. This was such a horrible crime I am sure it brought tears to a lot of people following this case. There is no punishment severe enough for this man for what he did to this family. My heart goes out to the Mother that found her daughter and grandchildren. Our prayers are with her and her family. I agree with Heather from Gainsville. If this man is not put to death for this crime, then our laws need to be changed. We are way to tolerant of all the misgivings that are happening in our world. We cater to small groups and it is about time we start to offend the offenders.The time is here for a change and our justice system and stupid laws are a great place to start. Some smart butt attorney will plead his case and supress everything he can and make him look like Mary Poppins and a victim of society. What a crock. Is anyone surprised about the "insanity" defense mentioned by the lawyer? As soon as the police said they found him "hiding" in the closet I knew they were going to find out he did it and then when they mentioned the cat incident it was only time before he was said to be mentally unbalanced. I only hope that they sentence this monster to death, and the sooner the better. My prayers go out to the grandparents...I hope they remember the good times. I'm am outraged!! I have suffered from Manic Depression most of my life, Classified as bipolar. I also have anxiety and panic and OCD. The fact that this man might get a LESSER charge due to the fact that he is bipolar is BEYOnd comprehension. Someone that can do what he did has to be more then BIPOLAR.This Man mutilated a women and HER CHILDREN!!! That isn't a man off his meds for bipolar...Now someone that has a psychopathic persoanlity may do something like this....but simply biploar....they are really stretching.....HE DESERVES the full penatly of the law, I have no sympathy for the fact that he is BIPOLAR, people like this make others with the disorder look completely INSANE. A bipolar diagnosis is no excuse. Every day hundreds of thousands of people live with their bipolar disorder and somehow manage NOT to go on homicidal rages taking the lives of three people and numerous animals. This freakish monster deserves no better than what he gave. In reality, he likely faces a fairly cushy life in a psychiatirc unit. That's justice in America for ya.

When are officials going to realize that torturing and mutilating animals always leads to something like this - almost every serial killer ever known was known to have tortured animals as a child. As soon as this POS was caught mutilating those cats he should have been in some kind of therapy. He is obviousley a sick POS that will rot in hell. Something needs to change with the laws on animal abuse, something that may prevent things like this from happening.
