National Power Supply sells the best used caterpillar engines. National Power Supply has not failed me in 3 years of repeat business. It is my honor to write a positive review for these guys. Too often we don't take the time out to thank someone for something positive. I hope my review helps anyone make the right choice with National Power Supply. This is their site & I recommend their engines and generators. http://nationalpowersupply.com/

I agree with with Alan Garrett about National Power Supply. Alan I was wondering if National Power Supply offers any bulk discounts that you know of when I go to their site

http://nationalpowersupply.com/

it gives their number but I was wondering if they give deals on 2 or more engines that I need. I ordered from them about two years ago and the engine is still running great. It was for my grader but was gonna ask you because I need one for my dozer and a buddy of mine is looking for a replacement for his Cat Challenger MT755C for corn harvest this year in the midwest.

His Cat Challenger MT755C has been sitting there just needs an engine, so I told him to go thru National Power Supply, since I got an engine and it still works great after all these years.

But I was thinking about ordering a couple engines together with my buddy, any thoughts? I know my engine was a steal of a price and don't expect a discount for buying two, maybe 3 but its worth a shot.

Anyways I agree with Alan National Power Supply is the best for the engines, and prices and most importantly time.

I don't know that they would come down anymore. I got my engine at a great price but if you do get a good deal on two to three engines let me know because if I ever need another one maybe ill ask my buddy from Orlando that owns a construction company, he was the one who turned me on to National Power Supply in the first place.

I know he is a repeat customer of National Power Supply too.

Hey Alan nice to see you on, Did you read this article form them on CNN. What does it mean that they can do green environment, do they mean like alternative energy? I know they have generators. Here is the CNN News on National Power Supply.

http://ireport.cnn.com/docs/DOC-908915

Here is the complete article:

National Power Supply is a leader in Remanufactured Diesel Engines.Remanufacturing diesel engines is emerging as the green, cost-performance choice for the $100 billion diesel engine industry – achieving over $1 billion in the U.S. alone. The big “reman” players are increasing their dominance, but small and passionate independents are fighting back.

Yakima, WA, April 19, 2010 – Demand for remanufactured diesel engines doubled in first quarter of 2010, as witnessed by National Power Supply Larry Pryor, President, noted,“We have seen an upsurge of inquiries with the recovery of durables. Our marketing activities had effect, but we are approaching a $1 million a day in demand [in the larger remanufactured diesel engines segment].”

“The uptrend in remanufactured engines arises from:(a) acceptance of the remanufacturing practice,(b) sustainability advantages,(c) rising cost of new engines with escalating emissions requirements, and (d) a frugality emerging from the global recession,” explains Paul Kang.

Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, Deutz and other large remanufacturers have gained market share from the 300+ local independent specialists. Caterpillar now has 18 reman facilities around the world, having discovered that profitability on remanufactured engines/parts can be double that for new.

These “goliaths” regularly dismiss the independents as they have distinct disadvantages:(a) higher parts and shipping costs,(b) local vs. global marketing,(c) inconsistent quality control, and (d) challenges of attaining trust from far-flung customers.

Yet better independents can win on quality, often complete faster and with more sensitivity to customer desires like increased horsepower. With low overhead, independents can beat the price from big OEMs by 20-40%. And “remanufactured in the USA with Pride” is appreciated by American workers and quality-desirous customers around the world.

Independents Team with National Power Supply to Challenge Goliaths of Remanufactured Diesel Engines Success of independents, despite ever increasing competition, is enabled by “cooperative networks” like National Power Supply that:

1. Market globally;

2. Answer and speak with callers;

3. Match customers with specialists in their particular engine;

4. Share parts purchase and shipping economies;

5. Select quality-minded independent partners and demand excellence;

6. Share inventory specials; and,

7. Thrive on thin margins.

National Power Supply and like may grow to lose their entrepreneurial zeal for pleasing customers. Then again, the Goliaths may open their eyes and take note of agile and empowered independents.

National Power Supply sells remanufactured diesel engines and generator sets for construction, mining, oil recovery, agriculture, forestry, marine, and specialized over-the-road applications. Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, and others are remanufactured with OEM or aftermarket components. The promise to customers is:“Saving You Money, Time & Concern.”

Yeah, look this on their marine engines page http://nationalpowersupply.com/dieselengines/...

aside from the used caterpillar engines and rebuild they sell huge ship engines. I know how big the engines are on my machinery, I am curious to see how big that Cat 3516 Marine is in the picture. It is a small picture but it looks like like it is longer than a truck bed....maybe two.

Hey Joe I am in Florida too. I came across these posts online in the Fort Lauderdale area.

I ordered a remanufactured Detroit diesel engine from National Power supply, I know its a little different than say a cat but i was wondering if you guys install it yourself?

Or Have a mechanic do it?

I was thinking about installing it with a friend (we have never done it) and follow directions from a book.

would you guys recommend having a professional do it or do it yourself?

I own a small fishing company and I purchased two engines for my boats. National Power Supply saved me a bundle on my marine engines.
I was skeptical at first, but after my first one I purchased another when my other vessel wet belly up as a new engine is too costly and National Power Supply's engines have never let me down.
I thought they only sold industrial and agriculture equipment, but they do marine engines, and they saved me a bundle on shipping. These guys are good, its sad to see someone posting negatives on them, as it seems to be a competitor posting lies. So I am here to say National Power Supply is the real deal.
Its really sad in this day and age to where competitors have to make up lies about their competition.
Again hats off to NPS thanks guys.

I own a small fishing company near San Francisco, I have conducted business with National Power Supply for years. I am writing in support of National Power Supply.

I ordered several 3208T cat marine engines over the years, Ok moving along. Since 2009 I have had to replace 3208T in my fishing rigs, they are cheaper to get from National Power Supply and with a warranty. thankfully I have never needed to use their warranty but I sleep better at night knowing it is offered on their engines.

For the record I have never had any cracks in my manifolds, I have never received anything but tip top shape engines.

The engines I have purchased have always operated properly, never any leaks, National Power Supply does in fact have a warranty As a repeat customer, take it from me or better yet call them and ASK about their warranty.

With Hope - Mike Munroley
