Ok so the house is practically being paid for, cool/uncool depending on your view..
YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING - okay so you bleeding heart liberal give your homes to those who have screwed up their lives. My husband worked all his life, traveled a LOT, went where the work was as an electrician. Now he has multiplesclerosis and is in a wheelchair. We were in the process of having a home built which would be wheelchair accessible for bathroom, etc.(we live in a house now and were going to sell it to pay for new house. He got very ill and ended up in the hospital and we realized he would need long term care so we had to sell the house we were having built. We were caught in the middle of this housing debacle and had to do a short sale. We had every intention of moving into the new house - however, because it was a short sale we had to pay GET THIS PEOPLE -$7,000.00 in income tax because the short sale is considered a forgiven debt. Ok so now what do we do? Maybe if we give our house to someone who doesn't have a house and we become renters someone else with a nice home that is wheelchair accessible will "donate" it to us???? I DON'T THINK SO! There are too many things which happen in life that are unavoidable - we tried to plan for everything adn still got screwed. We haven't asked anyone for anything so it really irritates me when my taxes go to individuals - our government is here to PROTECT our life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, not GUARANTEE it. We have to take the initiative to GUARANTEE our own happiness and success. You work, you get. There are plenty of people out there who started out with nothing and worked hard for a good life - Chairman (oops President) Obama for one. Just be careful all of you on the dole of the government - we may all end up like the Chinese under Mao. |

Rambling...
Of course, anyone who disagrees with you is rambling. Open your mind. |
Appalled, disagreeing with a point relevant is all I'd consider opening my mind for.
Your situation is something you should try to change, but your difficult time doesn't warrant the rest of the world to share your exact frustrations... what have you engaged in prior to this woman and this article, what else have you tried after it failed? the time you spend typing in this blog, reading a reply, replying to a reply is time spent away from soothing your own ills, or attempting to.... |

"...We have to take the initiative to GUARANTEE our own happiness and success..." your words exactly, guarantee yourself what you will, be blessed.... or try to fill out an app for the program, it's more effective then idle blogging

I think you've had too much to drink! |
