Slowly becoming a problem with loitering, kids hanging out near pool hall cursing up a storm, yelling and out of control. Fights are going on too. Just another slum place to hang and cause trouble.

Oh, I've seen and heard this myself. I also saw two boys fighting. Someone told me that some of these kids were going into the apartment building and smoking, also, going in the entry way which leads to the fir escapes and going up on the fire escapes. They don't belong there. Some of these kids look to be only 10 or 11 years old and they have cigarettes in their mouths. Why would the owner even allow that? It will be worse in the summer. I don't see that place staying open for too long.

HOMETOWN WALMART TO BLAME.

Kids never fought, smoked, or fooled around with fire escapes before Walmart opened up.

Hopefully some priest will have a long talk with those bad little boys.

You know, some of you people make a big joke about this, it isn't funny, these kids are going into the apartment building where the tenants are and sitting on the steps smoking, they have filthy, dirty mouths, no respect and they think they have every right to do what they want and that it's okay. I bet if you lived there and had to deal with it, it wouldn't be so funny. They literally stand around watching kids fight with each other cheering them on. And whoever is baby sitting the pool hall doesn't give a damn. The cops were called a few times, it won't be so damn funny when someone gets hurt and it turns out to be your own kid, not to mention, setting the place on fire. IDIOTS!!!!!!!!

The poolroom has got to go! It's a black eye in the downtown and has made the area unsafe for pedestrians. The cretons who patronize the place need to go home to their mommies.
A hangout for 8th graders looking to shoot off their foul mouths just won't last.
I think its days are numbered.

How about the kids that smoke the Dope right outside and the people that live here are sick of it.I saw myself beer being brought into this place by the case, just what is going on in the place. It has turned into another Skum Place that is BYOB.

The front of the place is filthy. The kids who hang out there are loud-mouthed pigs and nobody bothers to clean the place up.

YOU clean up the place---instead of being a lazy bum.

since when in age of video games do kids hang outside a pool hall. and what do adults playing pool in 21st century want with kids hanging outside a billards parlor.

First I work at the pool hall and its a good place for the kids there is no fights and also there is no drugs in there at all so ppl can go talk all the shit they want. Tamaqua needs something like this in town for the kids and the parents we have a lot of parents come in with there kids and play pool and they love it. Would u ppl like the kids to be out on the st doing stupid things or do u want them to sat out of things and hang out with there friends and have a good time.

There are not fights in there at all and there may be some slum that goes in there but ALL the ppl that go in there are NOT. Would u like the kids getting into more trouble walking the St of town or would u like them in a place that they are safe and were they can hang out with friends ?????

You make some valid points, but I see the pool hall in much decline since I started going there when it opened. There are "No Loitering" signs posted. They are not enforced. This creates a bad image for the place and will keep the "Good" people out. There are "No profanity" signs posted, and they are definately not being enforced by some of the people who work there. When I hear a 12 year old girl, who sometimes works there, cursing like a trucker, I am embarrased more than they are. If you want to stay in business, you need to enforce the rules you state. All you have to do is start kicking people out, and either they will wise up, or they won`t come in anymore. You will lose money initially, but the riff raff that got kicked out will be replaced by a better class of clientele, who probably will spend more money anyway.
I really want to see this place succeed, but if it keeps going as it is, I can gaurantee you it will not last, and that will be a shame, because Stan had the best intentions when he started the business.
