Tallassee annexing rural areas.

I am aware that Tallassee has to increase it's tax base, but not at the expense of us who would rather stay out of the city limits. Yes, tax revenue is lower than last year, but that is to be expected because of the housing bubble bursting, and the stock market crash. Houses are worth less on the market, that makes them less taxable. The dollar has been devalued, there is fear to start any new businesses, people are sitting on what is left of their savings, banks are not loaning to anybody who does not have perfect credit. So Tallassee is annexing to increase the revenue it has lost in this depression. For the Mayor, and the City Council: stop annexing, and start economizing. You tighten your belts, just like we have to do.
