Members of Mitt Romney's church warmly presented the GOP presidential candidate as a compassionate man who lives his Mormon faith of service.
The former Massachusetts governor is the first Mormon presidential candidate on a major party ticket.

Romney was a bishop in the Boston suburb of Belmont, a job akin to the pastor of a congregation.

An assistant back then, Grant Bennett, told Republican delegates at the GOP convention that Romney had "a listening ear and a helping hand." He said Romney devoted as many as 20 hours a week at his own expense.

If Romney is president we will no longer be a Christian Nation,We will be a Mormon Nation !

Communist Black Liberation - wth is that? With that type of conspiracy mentality aren't you afraid to even leave your house?

And who cares what religion a president adheres to? What does that have to do with his credentials to be President?

A mormon bishop is over many congregations not similar to the pastor of a congregation. The fact is that mormons do believe in Christ. Their church is called the church of Jesus Christ.

Personally, regardless of his beliefs, I want the best candidate. He can do what he wants with his free time and we've certainly had presidents who did worse things!

Apparently the left wing media care about Romney's religon since they are doing multiple shows on "Mormonism."

If they can examine one candidates religon why not the other.

What is the difference between being, Mormon, Muslim, Buddhist,Hindu,Baptist,Catholi c,or Jewish, and being a politician? We do not want to hear about your religion, we want to hear about your plan to solve our problems. For the record Obama is not Muslim and Romney is Mormon.
When you go to pay a bill, do they ask you what religion you are?
When you go to fill out a job application, do they ask you what religion you are?
Hiring or not hiring someone based upon their religion is discrimination, even if it is a cult.

According to the US Constitution, you are correct. Based on other posts of yours though, you see no need for that document.

You need to read my post again.I am saying that our constitution has been amended so many times that it is no longer the document of our forefathers.
One must also realize that the forefathers who wrote the constitution were also politicians, this is a scary thought.
Our constitution has not been followed for many years,Obama is not the pioneer for it's demise.
The American people have been pushed under the bus for a long time and our leaders are the ones that did the pushing. I write these words out of concern for all Americans. It is impossible at times to communicate these thoughts without bringing opposition to myself.I am sure if you read between the lines you will understand my point.
You felt my words. You became angry and full of fight. This is a good thing. You are a patriot.

You seem to be the one that is upset, I could not be better.

The US Constitution has been amendmended only 17 times since ratification in 1789.

Please provide examples of previous abuse and violations of the Constitution, and the "pushing around" of American people.

We do have many problems in this day and age, and this administration has compounded them in record fashion.

Based on what, could anyone possibly reward this group another term?

That would be The Declaration of Independence that contains those words, not The Constitution. The Constitution did abolish slavery, and afford equal protecion to all under the law. So glad you brought it up.
