Leshers' battle with bloggers continues

The battle against the bloggers by attorney Mark Lesher and wife, Rhonda Lesher, has become a waiting game in a Tarrant County court.

What better place to try this case than rrcounty? The attorney and his wife live here as with the Coyles. Reality check tells me the Leshers rather not be judged by residents of red river county, rather where no one knows of them or their past or present history. This should suprise no one.

It cannot be tried in Red River County because it happened in Tarrant County. I know they wish for it to be due to the testimony in Collin County of how much pull the accused has in Red River County.

If it was not settled in court, then someone cannot accept the truth and it is Red River Co. authorities and their friends who are rich. Never seen such lying in all my life as was against the lawyer and his wife.

But wait! The Clarksville school board in all it's infinate wisdom wants to build a new state if the art $14,000,000 elem. school. They must know something that we dont like how are they going to bleed the taxpayers out of that much money in our depressed economy. What industry we have left will probably relocate. With this new facility, I guess they figure all the problems will go away and everything will be wonderful.

I can tell you this much? I do not know these folks, but If I were ever dragged into court over a remark I made on any forum? There would be a countersuit so big it would boggle the mind! I have Attorney's also. I believe these folks will lose, because they are messing with everyone's 1st amendments. It appears these folks do protest too much! No one better drag my tail into court over such nonsense. As far as their reputations go? It also appears to me they brought this upon themselves!

its not a 1st amendment case its a liable & slander case your 1st amendment just lets that bucket mouth talk u in to the courthouse&jailhouse any how a judge will explain it for them have a nice day

I disagree,I only read some of what was said about those people and it was awful. They have every right to take them to court,I know someone on topix right now that is checking into the same thing.

You are right Flipflops only. It was awful what was said about them for over a year. The thing about is that they were begged to stop and they would not stop. Even on the holidays, Thanksgiving and Christmas, we ask them to please stop and let us have a good holiday and they would not, they got worse. I did not know the lawyer and his wife at the time and my heart did go out to them. It was clearly evident, they were out to destroy these people because they said it from the beginning what their intentions were.

Why not use 14 million to build a lake and bring in industry to RRC. Then build a school..

Free speech is free speech & unless someone can prove damages there is no case just a huge amt of $$ for attorney to string along & say they will win for you. It ain't easy getting topix or isp provider to give u up . Leshers were tortured so I can see there point but for regular comments that might make you mad don't read it & if someone sued me over a comment I would be like you and defend my right to counter because you know what they replyed is just as bad.

I don't know these people, but I do know people that know them, and they say much of the horrible things said on here are true. Now, I'm the kind of person that has to see this for myself. Yes, what they have said is not nice, but you know what? Plenty have said some very nasty things about others including me on this forum. Are we going to sue everyone that says something nasty about us on here? This is BS plain, and simple, and I guess the best option is just to shut the entire topix down. Right? Why are they protesting so much if some it wasn't true? Jeez, folks I guess I'd better get my Attorney on this, and sue the pants off some on here who have bad mouthed me.
