Price of gas? Because they can. Why? Because WE let them.
Because we don't have the brains to stay at home and mind our own business.

You only need to travel 70 miles to the east on highway 32 to find the HIGHEST gas prices in the State and that is 12 months of the year....and that is Chester!!!!!! Tahoe City is cheap when it comes to good ole Lake Almanor and the surrounding vicinity. Chester's gas price has always been the highest in the State for the last 48 years I've had my license. I always tell people from the valley to fill up everything prior to heading the the Lassen/ Lake Almanor area.

Because we have city and university employees who make over $100,000 a year. They can afford to pay more, so we will, for everything.

Very true. But when the money well runs dry, who will pay them?

The pipeline comes to Chico from the refineries too! Drive out Hegan lane and see. Can't be trucking costs. Who is taking credit for this?

Well isn't this precious. The Republic Party just a couple of years ago was screaming that the environazis blocked the construction of new refineries. If that's true, then how come U.S. oil companies, such as Sunoco and Valero, and foreign ones like Shell, are shutting down US refineries?

Their answer is because refining oil is unprofitable. So instead, we are importing more gasoline from Venezuela, the socialists that the Republic Party hate.

So with less capacity, the refiners can run their plants at close to full capacity, and they make more money off the drivers.

Meanwhile, the eager-beaver young oil speculators at Goldman Sachs are back in full force, driving oil futures ever higher even though the world is awash in oil.

Now the blame is on cold weather. Wait, aren't we dealing with global warming? Change your light bulbs and don't burn your wood stoves. It's every man/woman for themselves in the cesspool known as American Democracy.

Joe Sixpack writes: "So instead, we are importing more gasoline from Venezuela, the socialists that the Republic Party hate."

The Republican party is in charge of oil refining?
But George Soros is a BIG democrat and poised to make billions in oil from the stimulus his buddy Obama gave him to drill oil in Brazil.

Funny when oil spikes during a Republican administration it is the "the Republicans fault"

When it spikes during a democrats administration it is still "the Republicans fault"

The sound you hear Joe is the sound of people laughing at you.

Anybody ever heard of nuclear, solar or wind energy. We all bi__H about high gas prices all the time when the answers to it are right in front of our faces. Heres a real simple one. Water= desalination= more steelhead and more salmon. The answers are right here right now, all we have to do is grasp them and proceed.

So you think the CEOs of oil companies and Wall Street bankers are predominantly Dems? As from that silly point, you need to read my post more carefully. I pointed out an irony when the Republic Party blamed environazis for stopping new refineries, but now the Republic Party says nothing when their oil buddies are CLOSING refineries at home and importing more foreign gasoline. I hope this easier to understand for your simple mind.

Things your typical California (Democrat) voter either doesn’t know or understand.

9. Why profit is good and necessary.

23. The relationship between supply and demand.

24. Cause and effect.
