Taft is not a bad place at all! I grew up in Taft, and being only 28 yrs old, I feel Taft is actually a decent place to raise a family. No matter what city you go to, there will always be Mexicans, and Drugs. And I believe the job decrease is due our so-called poor economy. Well if you agree with me then cool, and I am sure others will disagree. I have never had my car or truck or my house broken into. Usually theft is from someone close to you such as a friend or relative, so people be aware of who you surround yourself with! There may not be a lot to do for entertainment, but what do you expect, it's a small town. Taft is right smack in the center of a bunch of surrounding cities, which have a lot of entertainment. No matter where you live, your life and what it's worth, is all in your own hands. Life is what you make of it.
