That's the funniest thing I've read this year, so far. Considering my name isn't "Darren M"...I did pay child support for 18 years though, and came to find out the kid wasn't even mine. I know who wrote this though. His name is "The Zero Void". He likes to stir up a lot of void, which is what he's full of.<quoted text>
All from a guy who owes child support.
Darren M is not the person he portrays himself to be here on the boards.
He is hiding behind a faced of being Mr. Nice guy. However, what he says on here is a lie.
He spouts off self righteousness in his posts, but he is guilty of the very things he is harping on people about.
Darren M has fathered children that he pays no child support for. He himself is a dead beat dad. So it is interesting to see him post such self righteous posts against dead beat dads. Do not let him fool you. He would easily cheat on his wife, and father children, and not pay for them.
When confronted with the truth of what he does and what he is, he will turn to banter and harassment and childish name calling and mudslinging. What and see for yourself.

After you are over 25, most guys you date have been married before, at least that was my experience. As for marrying a drunk, well he hid it well for a while. I was trying to make a point, I guess it's easier to criticize. In any case, I raised my kids without his help, and he's the one in the ground now. There are guys doing the right thing, but a lot of them don't. Thanks for the input in any case. |

Not much of a facade, he seems pretty petty to me.

Here's one for you...My ex pays his support to the Family Support Registry in Colorado...Usually it's between the 15th & 25th of the month, but at least he's paying it (for now)...Lately, it's been taking anywhere from 6 to 12 days for the payment to be received in California, Colorado "snail mails" it...It may not seem like a big deal, but it is when they aren't disbursing it properly, based on the day it arrives in California...I didn't receive February's payment because it arrived in March, but when the March payment arrived, they disbursed it fine...So, I called and enquired about the "missing" payment, and was told that they only do one disbursment per month (which is a lie), and that their records show my ex to be "delinquent" on several others...
To make a long story short, his payments are on time as far as Colorado is concerned, but due to the "mail", they are showing as "delinquent" in California... California has reported it to the credit agencies, and will prosecute once they are "delinquent" more than 6 times...They will waste tax dollars to stir it up, only to be told that he's in fact current...Nothing will be done to get me the money they have in "disbursment limbo", hell they'll most likely keep it, or make me hire an attorney to fight it out of them... Hopefully, this gets straightened out before the modification hearing, or there's gonna be one pissed off Judge... As for me, I simply want the money that has been paid, regardless of when California got it...It's ordered for my son, and he's the one suffering because of their little scams... |

I have no choice but to let it ride for now...It's ironic how my ex was content in ruining my credit, and now he doesn't even know how adversly his is being affected by all of this...Sure he can prove he's in compliance, but it won't help him right now...Not that I really care after all he's put us through, but I'd hate to see just how many folks are being wrongly punished due to poor communication between states...The notion of "Interstate" cooperation is a joke...It simply doesn't happen... |

I hear that! Communication between any governmental agency is an oxymoron at best. Still, what a bitch eh? |

Yup...Massachusetts used to hijack my tax returns (back when I used to get those...) for arrears, and after fighting them for 6 months, I'd get exactly half of it back. By my calculations, they still owe me $9,375.00 which I'll never see as the case was closed about 2 years ago, and they sent me a check for $450.00 which they calim they owed me...@ssholes. |

The way I look at it, he'll eventually figure out his credit is being tampered with, and stir it up...Until then, I will sit back and let those chips fall where they may...He can spend the money on attorneys, he can fight with the two states, as long as I keep receiving my support, I could care less what he does...
I assure you, if it keeps affecting me, I'll mail him a copy of Californias arrears print out and he'll do the rest...Let it come out of his pocket... He had the option of paying me directly, but chose instead to drag Family Support Registry into it...Screwed himself, he did... |

Yup, sure did. |
You really dont have a clue do you. These men hook up with women who want babies for checks and when they dont get their way knowning these men are entertainers they get mad and try to stop them from moving forward. My finace' was not making as much money as he is ordered to pay an for years he fell behind. Now he is a traveling comedian doing fairly well and he cant take advantage of an oppotunity to go overseas where he can pay off child support in less than a month if he could take that opportunity. But the greedy bitch only wants more money. who is it for the kids or revenge |

Visit the Colorado Department of Child Support on line, and they'll tell you what is required...However, if "your friend" owes such a substantial amount, it often involves Federal Enforcement, which will cost their Federal Tax Refund, and effect their Passport...One can certainly pay more then the monthly amount but, in this case, most will go to arrearages...Some states will settle for less than the amount owed, which does not benefit the child/children... |

P.S. If he's $15,000.00 in arrears, he's damned lucky he isn't in jail...
|
|
uhm...doesn't the mother or custodial parent have to first FILE a child support claim against the other parent? If nothing was ever filed, then how would the passport agency KNOW the noncustodial parent was in arrears?
