Are all Baptist churches like the one...

Are all Baptist churches like the ones in Jackson Co or "the South" as a whole?

I am so disappointed in my experience at a local Baptist church. I've never been to a Baptist church before and I hadn't heard good things but this one seemed different. Seemed...

I found the people to be really nice at first but the more I got involved I saw that there was more gossip and backstabbing than at any local bar. The people there, even the preacher, acted a certain way while there but when not at church was no different than anyone else.

Why would anyone want to go back to a place where there's so much jealousy and ugliness?

Why would you assume that all Baptist churches in "the south as a whole" were bad, just because you had a bad experience at one?

If you are wondering if Baptist churches in Jackson county are the same as others in the South, the answer is yes. Baptist churches in Jackson county are a weekly gathering of people who have been unable to throw off the shackles of a Bronze Age cult and see that the world has advanced without them. I assume that that holds true across the south.

It is sad to see you call worshipping the Lord a "cult".

It's sad that you and those like you can't see that it is a cult.

A lot of times its the right people in the right place for the wrong reasons. Christianity is great except for the christians. We are all flawed and make mistakes but there are good churches in the area. Keep trying to find one that suits you.
