home invasion and robbery would be my take based on the evidence that has been shared so far. it is a shame that someone could be murdered in their own home and folks immediately "blame the victim."

i agree..."Go Heels:" "where are you getting your "assumptions" from?" Perhaps "gossip" does not carry the same weight as facts the NC SBI sets forth.

regardless of who knew whom...a victim's home was invaded, he was robbed and then he was murdered...end of story.

i hope none of you or myself, are called for jury duty...these people are obvisouly not going to get a fair trial if we are already talking and making assumptions...and goheels may know more than you think.

the local news reported the night the two others were arrested, that when they got to the house, they kicked the door down and there were "drugs" along with other things in the house.

I would say that the media again, possibly, has informed the citizens wrong. then again, we might never know what exactly took place and why.

You make a very good point. A change of venue might be in order, this is too close to home and if these forums become supeonaed it would certainly be interesting.

We can only hope that justice ultimately prevails. I have to give kudos to the law enforcement there. I can say with much certainty I've never seen prosecutions come so fast in my current town. I applaud the Sheriff, SBI, and who ever else is aiding this investigation.

i'm very satisfied myself with the capture and charges of these 4 bodies, i pray justice continues and catches up with others that must be carrying a heavy weight right now

There is more to what exactly happened that night, and is not being told however nobody will never truly know the details or the horrible hell scott, heath and timmy-dale went through and all for what???? Nothing in this world is worth someone's life!!!! Also these three wonderful men were great people who all loved life and didn't deserve such a nightmare like they recieved that night. So all of u people whom think they know what happened this awful night i have to say to you all unless you was there or you know them personally so u may know some of what had happened; you have no right to judge or make assumptions on anything!! The 3 that endorsed being put through this awful hell were great loving caring so out-going hardworking and had such wonderful hearts and would have gave anybody the shirt off their backs!!! They each one are still greatly missed and very loved and memories of them will remain in the hearts of Swain,Jackson and all surrounding counties... We love and miss you 3 amazing men and we shall carry your memories in the depths of our hearts forever more!!!!!!! R.I.P TIMMY-DALE,SCOTT AND HEATH!!!!

I couldn't agree with you more stormyfaith... These men will be missed. Sparking this horrific incident coming back to light this week in Newspaper "The Smokey Mountain Times", reminding society how precious life is, the ones we love and how quickly both can be taken from us. Personally, all of these opinions and assumptions of what these men had to endure is not for anyone to judge or even think they have the right to say there was a reason for any of that to have happened to them. They were killed in cold blood and tortured by having to see the other killed in front of them. With so called "THUGS" showing no remorse or regret for the hard core violence they acted with. Even if there was drugs involved(which being family connected to the only survivor) I know drugs wasn't the cause for this gruesome act. Timmy-Dale Waldroup(only SURVIVOR)was a survivor of not just this horrible act, he had also survived prostate and bladder cancer. At age eight he had to completely take care of himself(being only a little child), sent to a nightmare of a children's home. By age thirteen sent to a reform school because nobody wanted him. Survived being almost stabbed to death. This man was a survivor within his self. He never knew love nor family until he moved to Sylva, North Carolina from High Point, North Carolina and was taken into my family as blood. Growing up, I never knew any different. He was my uncle and that's all I knew. Despite horrible experiences in life, he managed to survive them all. Always was happy keeping a smile on all our faces no matter the circumstances. He was there anytime I needed him. Through laughs and tears he was always there and will always be in my heart. Timmy-dale needs to be remembered for who he was and not people's assumptions nor opinions. He almost lost his life and endured horrific events because he got a call from Scott saying,"He needed him", and being the Nobel man Timmy-Dale was he didn't think twice just drove to Scott's house. Not to BUY DRUGS, but to help a friend; without asking questions... R.I.P. TIMMY-DALE WALDROUP. Gone but never forgotten. We carry you with each of us in our hearts everyday and always miss you.....

BeautyWithin i love your post its very beautiful within each word!!! He was also like a father and was so out-going in everything he did. TimmyDale was always smiling and lifting are spirits more and more as each day passed and when he smiled he brightened multitudes!!!! Everyday was an adventure with him and always such a blast to be around!!!!Although he had lived such a horrific painful childhood and a very hard brutal life,he never allowed it to cause him to be cold hearted, bitter, mean or hold angry towards anyone. In fact i do n't know anyone whoms heart was bigger. He had a heart made of gold!!! He was always doing for others in anyway he could, helping others gave him so much happiness!! He was very selfless and very protective over those that he loved and was always there in good and bad!! TimmyDale was the truest person i have ever known and to know him was a true blessing and having him apart of my life was a true honor!!! I shared a very special closness with TimmyDale, he was my best friend, the father i never had and always took care me.He was my Hero a true blessing from God!!!!! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH TIMMYDALE AND I MISS YOU MORE THAN WORDS CAN EVEN EXPRESS!!!!!!!!Rest In Peace!!!
