And like we're really supposed to be shocked by this? C'mon folks, it's Glendale. This is scam one of hundreds in our city. Ever wonder why there's two or three cigarette stores on a block?

How about using some of this "vigorous investigation and prosecution" on trafficking of illegals?
Glendale has become a third world city due to the invasion of non-assimilating immigrants, some legal but most illegal. Years ago it was a great, small American city. Now it is a city of filth and crime.

I agree with you all, this is plain stupid! So the government places insane taxes on cigarettes, which are LEGAL (the smokes) and then go after a guy for trying to save people some money. Why aren't they going after the real criminals, what a waste of time, money and resources!!!!
Yeah, he should not have been selling in such huge quantity, but 7 YEARS????? "So whatcha in for?" "umm selling cigarettes" and now he will be buying and selling them in prison, big bux to be made there! Oh wait, the GUARDS make the money on those there.

This is just plain stupid, shame on you DA and all the rest!!!

Btw, I am in SD, the place around the corner from me, a small mom and pop liquor store, I know they sell cigs they buy in TJ, he's always talking about "the stamp" you can buy a carton there for $14, and resell it here for $50. Do you think others won't do this?? The tax they have placed on cigarettes pushes people to "break the law" the government is pissed he is getting their booty.

What crack me up about the all cigs taxes that gov't said it's going to use it for all these wonderful things with all that money they made from it. like helping little kids, saving all the cancer victims and paying for mastive free health care for all of mexico with that money, but ask this where did that money really go because it really didn't go for any of those things.

An Armo smuggling cigs? Let me guess, those weren't Turkish cigs. That can't be all. What about the 340 tanker truckloads of cologne? What about the 1,780 truckloads of track suits and square-tipped dress shoes and black socks? What about the 490 box loads of counterfeit designer sunglasses? HA HAAA HAAA Gghlendale!!!!

Back in the day, the Gubment nailed murderous, Mafia lord Al Capone for tax evasion because they couldn't get him on anything else. This guy has been fined $3.2 mil!!! Y'all are acting like he just sold a few packs. This seems quite a bit larger than that. Armos are all into crime. That's all they know. My earlier point is that Mr. Unibrowjian got caught with cigs when he and all his cohorts are doing much more than that. Credit card fraud, multiple SS cards for welfare benefit fraud, insurance scams, real estate scams, theft... my keybord will run out of words if I had to list all the crimes committed in Gghlendale. Kharoosh, baghadeh Ggheshooballoo!!!

HaHa. Change the name to Glendalian, used to be great and now I avoid it like the plague-ian. Cigs were bought with stolen credit cards. 7 years and deport all of them.
